real estate group colliers international made the announcement earlier this week that they closed the 50 million dollar deal with unlv. while the plans for the 42 acres of land are unclear at this point officials have talked about building a the research colier says the economic opportunities that come with that kind of facility are endless. john stater: "if they do manage to build a solid stadium it opens up the possibility of super bowls, major championship or major tennis tournaments other talked about options for this space include a research space and additional housing. unlv says itll be a few years before anything is up and running. the purchase was finances by the unlv foundation which is annon profit raising privte funds for the university. unlv officials are also working to use 38 acres of clark county land that will connect the university

parcel some lawmakers and a group of southern nevadans are demanding the department of justice arrest cliven bundy... his sons... and the bundy militia for their actions in nevada... and now oregon. the group includes the paiute tribe - who says the bundy family is destroying their native land around the gold butte national forest area. they claim if the tables were turned... and they were taking over land.. the government wouldn't be so kind. "terrorists. they are terrorists they need to be in prison " the department of justice has not responded to the petition.... but cliven bundy has. he tells fox 5 he's broken no laws...

today - from state john kerry - at the world economic forum in switzerland. he says the u-s will host a summit - and push for a three-billion dollar boost in funding for support of refugees... as the global immigration crisis continues. "president obama is going to host a summit at the un this fall. and the summit will be the culmination of a sustained, rigorous effort to rally the world community." kerry says the u-s will encourage at least ten additional countries to offer resettlement programs... and the u-s will push countries currently accepting refugees to double the number. kerry also says isis is moving in the right direction. "we are eliminating terrorist leaders; we are hammering their oil wells, cash collection centers, refineries." more than 25- hundred world leaders and top executives are at the world economic forum - which wraps up

pregnant women are being warned to stay away from nearly two-dozen countries. that's due to a high risk of contracting a virus that causes a major birth defect. as laura ingle reports... travel- related cases are already popping up here in the united states. the c-d-c issuing another travel alert for pregnant women. health officials urging expecting mothers to stay away from these eight places due to the risk of contracting the zika virus. they join a list of more than a dozen destinations announced last week, which includes puerto rico and mexico. bell says: "..this is going to be a emerging problem that we're going to be dealing with for some time in the future." zika is spread through mosquito bites, and can be transmitted from a pregnant mother to her unborn baby. the virus is linked to a serious birth defect in which babies are both with smaller heads that may not have developed properly. the condition can also cause seizures,

cases. quite concerned about the potential complications to the fetus of a zika virus infection of pregnant women and so we really are advising that pregnant women seriously consider postponing travel to these areas if possible." the c-d-c urging anyone who must travel to at-risk areas do everything they can do avoid mosquito bites... day and night. bell says: "..staying in places that have screens on windows and doors. using insect repellent and i'll mention that there are a number of insect repellents that are approved for use in pregnancy, including deet." an advisory panel to governor rick snyder is recommending steps the state should take - to solve the crisis. on thursday - the e-p-a ordered the state and city to ensure safe operation of the water system - and that their efforts so far had failed. the flint water advisory task force says its recommendations are more detailed and comprehensive than what the e- p-a ordered. high levels of lead have been detected in flint's water since the city switched from the detroit municipal system and began drawing river as a cost- saving measure. archaeologists are getting a glimpse into how people lived three-thousand years ago. they've unearthed several homes - in the eastern part of england - dating back to the age. astonishingly well preserved - with pottery wholly intact. has some food - a grainy porridge - still inside. the homes themselves are built in a round shape on piles or river.
