the family of denise gray... everyone who lives nearby was understandably shaken up. anna briseno- me and my sister saw the lady on the floor and she was yelling for help just after 2 am saturday police responded to calls from neighbors in east las vegas... that heard a woman screaming. roger nye- they heard her hollering for help and in the interim they heard a gunshot neighbors tell me they were woken up to the sounds of a woman screaming last night when they came outside they saw her standing in the doorway this is where police later found her the family confirmed the woman killed is denise gray... gray was shot in the doorway of her home near cheyenne and las vegas boulevard. anna briseno was across the street and saw gray... and called 9-1-1. anna briseno- she was saying help me im dying anna briseno- uhh it was really scary gray was taken to the hospital where she later died. fox 5 spoke to the family of gray but they didn't want to appear on camera... norman snyder- its a shock to me and of course its disheartening that someone lost their life in this area

storm moving in off the pacific is going to change things up. this storm is expected to produce wind, rain and cool temperatures in the las vegas area sunday and snow in our local mountains. a winter storm warning goes into effect for the spring range and sheep range mountains sunday at noon and remains in effect until monday afternoon at 4pm. up to 12" could fall at 6000' and higher. rainfall in the valley sunday into monday is projected to be just under 4/10th of an inch of rain. on and off wind gusts are expected to be over 20 mph over the next 48 hours. once the system passes us our high temperatures plunge into the upper 40's for a few days then will gradually warm up but will remain below seasonal

a proposed football stadium could cost one- point-two billion dollars... and we're learning how much money the sands corporation wants to come from public funding. the review journal- owned by sheldon adelson- is reporting developers would look for 780- million dollars in public financing. the sands is going to present a proposal to southern nevada tourism infrastructure committee... and ask for hotel room taxes that go to l-v-c-v-a to be diverted to the project. it wants to build the n-f-l stadium on 42 acres of unlv land... in a public-private partnership. sands says the stadium would only help tourism grow. adelson met with the owner of the

on friday to discuss possibly bringing the homeless team to las vegas. family and friends grieve the death of a woman killed by a suspected impaired driver. dozens gathered for a vigil to remember the victim. the memorial of flowers and candles says "rest in peace to jenio eugenio". police say she died in a crash near rainbow and spring mountain wednesday morning. the driver identified as 33- year-old victor sandoval was trying to get away from police... after officers found him passed out in his car. police say he slammed into patrol cars... ran several red lights... before slamming into the victim. both vehicles flipped and landed in the parking lot of a gas station. she died at the scene. the driver was taken to u-m-c with life- threatening injuries. police believe he was driving under the influence. a federal judge denies bond for militia member ammon bundy and several others who occupied a federal wildlife facility in oregon. prosecutors say they pose a threat

differences race religion culture we have to stand against tyranny." the protesters encourage those who do not live in las vegas to hold their own memorial rallies outside courthouses or government offices. a mobile home fire leaves a man in extremely critical condition. it happened around nine this morning near carey and pecos. crews found the mobile home engulfed in flames. north las vegas firefighters were able to control it in under twelve minutes. a man was taken to u-m-c with extreme critical injuries. no firefighters were hurt. north las vegas fire say the home is a complete loss. the cost of damage is around 100-thousand dollars. the cause of the fire has not been released. an elderly man who went missing last night may be in danger. metro police need help finding 90- year-old george kimura. he was last seen around 7-30 friday night near tropicana and decatur -- wearing a red and blue

organizers say this event is about everyone stepping in together to end homelessness. they believe with las vegas mayor's faith-based initiative it will reach many people. a public charter school needs to fill nearly 75 job positions for its new campuses. "coral academy of science" hosted its first of three hiring events today. it's opening new campuses in the centennial hills area and nellis air force base for the 20-16 and 20-17 school year. the award- winning school is looking for teachers... administrators... and support staff. "we're looking for qualified outstanding teachers, passionate about what theyre doing and want to work for an outstanding school."
