according to police the driver of this vehcile a woman somehow hit the medium seperating the east and west bound lanes on rancho near lake mead. when she hit the medium the tires on' deflated causing her to lose enough control to jump over the medium and hit the bus shelter where the victim of this crash sitting in his sheelchair, 04:51:33 i didn't know anyone was hit but i called 911 because of the person in the car was hurt or something and when i got out of the car i saw a foot several people lifted the vehcile off the victim and a nurse tried to assist the him. the man was taken to hospital where he was

a man is shot in killed in broad daylight... on a busy area in the west valley. now the search is on - to find the person who fired the weapon. fox five's ophelia young.... is live - from rainbow and westcliff - with what a witness saw and heard. a man was shot to death in broad daylight where a handful of witnesses saw bits and pieces. it started with this white chevrolet behind me. the victim - a man was seen waiting in that car when witnesses told detectives a gray nissan altima drove up to it. the victim hopped into the driver side back seat of the altima - police believe there was an altercation that lead to gunshots. witnesses saw the

feet in the parking lot before the victim jumped out of the car - hands up. more gunfire - and the victim fell to his death. metro still trying to figure out more about that altercation - they say shootings like this are not unusual. "i know theres been some craigslist robberies and sometimes i hate to say it but criminal activity could be narcotics related its kind of speculation at this point its unfortunate that its another homicide." police now looking at surveillance video from gas stations and convenience stores in the area - theyre hoping to have a license plate number by tonight. and back here on scene - this parking lot also a part of a construction site - so there are vehicles and storage units that blocked the views of witnesses - but police currently putting all their stories together to find out how this all started. another man died

overnight. it happened around 2-30 this morning... at a home on nookfield drive - near flamingo and buffalo. after the man was shot he was taken to u-m-c in extremely critical condition. investigators believe there was an altercation prior to the shooting - and that the suspect and victim knew each other. no word yet on any arrests. if you have information on either of these shootings.... call police or crimestoppers - at 702-385-55-55. unruly behavior keeps the woman accused of running over people on the strip from entering a courtroom. "screaming in the background" hollering was audible in the courtroom as lakeisha holloway was expected in court. district attorney steve wolfson was there-- and so were attorneys... but holloways yelling prevented her from entering the courtroom. the judge proceeded with scheduling another hearing for february 18th.

improving when it comes to health insurance coverage for hispanic children. the latest numbers show kids without insurance fell by 33-percent over a one-year period. the research by georgetown university and the national council of la raza was presented today at the east las vegas community center. the number of uninsured children in nevada is down 33-percent from 2013 to 2014.. the largest decline in the nation. andres ramirez / president, ramirez group "nevada had the largest reduction in uninsured hispanic children over the course of the past couple of years." steven lopez / manager, health policy project "the success of this state ond this country is linked to the success of the latino community, particularly its children. so when you're making

though residents in a town north of mogadishu have found the body of a man who may have been sucked out of the aircraft. u-s intelligence shows the number of islamic state fighters has dropped in iraq and syria - but is rising in libya. reports suggest there are bewtween 19 and 12-thousand isis militants in iraq and syria... compared to an earlier range of 20-thousand to more than 30- thousand. libya has seen a rise from a couple thousand to about five-thousand. coalition airstrikes and military operations in iraq and syria have killed many militants - and made it more difficult for them to move into the region or to recruit others. a u.n. panel has ruled that julian assange should be allowed safe passage to ecuador. the wikileaks founder has been living in the ecuadoran embassy in london since june of 20- 12... when ecuador granted him asylum. assange is wanted for questioning about an alleged sexual assault in sweden. he says the charges are an attempt to extradite him to the u-s because his

air bags may not inflate in a crash - or they could deploy without a crash. continental is notifiying automakers, who will recall cars dating to 2006. already honda, fiat chrysler and mercedes have issued recalls. automakers will replace the computers at no cost to owners. the beer company is trying to help fix the water crisis in flint, michigan. anheuser-busch's georgia brewery sent over 51 thousand cans of bottled water to flint. once the water arrived - it was dropped off by a local distributor at a food bank. volunteers say the water will be sent directly to homes - where it's needed the most. anheuser-busch is a partner of the red cross - and helps in emergencies when needed. "anheuser busch just did their part-- as they do across the nation over the last 100 years they've done over 74 million ns of water to disasters, whether it's tornadoes or situations like this." the city's water source was switched to the flint river to save
