it would be like any other day here on thomas avenue today but it's not. the road is marked with colored spray paint paint police used while gathering evidence. sunday night just hours after the incident evelyn green's distraught mother spoke to fox5. i'm devastated. that was my baby my only girl. vicki davis says didn't wait for paramedics to arrive rushing evelyn to north vista hospital when we was in the car i was trying to give her cpr she was breathing and looking at meshe was like this. her eyes rolled to the back of her head. evelyn died shortly after arriving. north las vegas police are looking for a hispanic male in his 40's who was descriobed as

he was driving a full size white panel van with no windows. we asked if it was true that the driver stopped after the accident and a person near the scene told him to leave nlv sound because he left the scene the driver when caught will face a severe sentence if convicted because of the new law on hit and run accidents automaticcaly treats this case as a dui the family has set up a go fund me page to help pay for the funeral. it's "we love you evelyn"

that if you have any information to call crime stoppers at 702 385-55-55. a car crashes into the lobby of a medical building -- sending three to the hospital. it happened around 10-30 this morning near jones and spring mountain. police say three or four people were in the lobby when the car went through. three were taken to spring valley hospital. their injuries do not appear to be serious. but check out how close it was to a much worse story.. in this picture sent to us from hammed ahmadi.. you can see the car inside the

next to a desk. police say the driver had an issue with the car's pedals.. the driver stayed at the scene and is not suspected of being impared. a man who was hospitalized last month after a deadly crash at the intersection of spring mountain and rainbow has died. police identified the driver as victor sandoval.. and said he was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. according to metro, officers used their cruisers to block a suv near lake mead and rainbow. officers found sandoval passed out in the suv. when sandoval woke up and saw the officers, he sped away, hitting several cruisers. he then ran several lights on his way to the crash that killed 43-year-old jenil eugenio. the los angeles county sheriff's department says a murder suspect mistakenly released from jail last month in southern california... has has been captured in boulder city. the department says detectives learned this morning that steven lawrence wright might be hiding in a boulder city hotel.

boulder city police were called in to help.. and they took wright into custody without incident. wright was in jail waiting to go on trial for a gang killing. he was released from jail due to clerical errors. he's being held here in nevada pending an extradition hearing. musician flavor flav has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor driving under the influence in a las vegas case stemming from a traffic stop last may. his plea today means the 56- year-old rapper and reality television star acknowledged he had marijuana residue in his system when he was clocked going 87 mph in a 65-mph zone. it was his second plea in two weeks involving similar charges. in each case, folavor flav, was fined 685-dollars and ordered to attend a victim impact panel and drunken driving school. nevada regulators heard arguments today on whether existing rooftop solar customers should be "grandfathered" into lower rates instead of paying higher ones

proven innocent. kirstin blaise lobato was convicted of the crime...and for nearly 15 years... she's maintained her innocence. we do want to warn our viewers... some of the details of this story are very graphic... duran bailey was found mutilated... and had his penis cut off... lobato became tied into the crime after telling friends about a sexual assault in which she said she tried to stab a mans groin... bailey was found murdered in july... lobatos attack happened miles away in may.... investigators however maintained it was the same event. dozens of people placed her more than 170 miles away during the murder... there was pubic hair...semen... cigarette butts gum... and bloody footprints that all exclude lobato as the murderer... one of lobatos main supporters is a former fbi agent with 25 years ot the wrong person... at the crime scene the body was covered by boxes and guess what was on those boxes footrpitns in the victims blood... male footprints... there were also cigrette

oriental las vegas celebrates the year of the monkey to mark the start of chinese new year. "drums (cheers)" former las vegas mayor oscar goodman and the founder of the lou ruvo center for brain health were some of the special guests. the resort wanted to ring in prosperity and good fortune to las vegas. they were inspired by the traditional "yusheng toss".

let's actually get to this picture right away - taken in the cafeteria of findlay middle school - students say it was last thursday during breakfast. the picture shows all the tables up while a couple students sat on the floor by the trash cans eating their meal. ccsd says they were not forced to sit there - there were a few tables open and the outside area called the quad was open too. i tracked down the 8th grader in the red plaid - here is what he told me. "i dont know what happened exactly before that all i know is that i went in the cafeteria to get breakfast before school and all the tables were folded up and everyone was sitting on the school. did you try to sit on one of the tables were there some tables open? uh no no tables were open not that i remember they were all folded upwards. do most people sit in the cafeteria or do most people go out to the quad? were not aloud to go into the quad
