superdelegate? they have the ability to commit to whomever they want but they can change their commitment anytime as well. college of southern nevada political science professor mark peplowski says regular delegates have to stick to the candidate their group voted for in the caucus process. so why let superdelegates change their vote at anytime? it's a belief in the leadership that there is a certain party core of party leaders who are more sophisticated in their knowledge of party politics, party platform and the history of the candidates that they could make an more educated and informed decision on behalf of the party. in nevada four of the 8 superdelegates are elected, two are appointed and the other two are senator harry reid and representative dina titus. erin bilbray is an elected nevada superdelegate who is supporting bernie sanders. to me right now is more the message than the messenger she says most superdeleges follow the popular vote. last week bernie sanders easily won new hampshire but walked away with the same amount of delegates as hillary clinton. she thinks too much is being read into the superdelegate's
