6:01 pm
that surge of data... came from inside the department.. meaning employees plugging in their cell phones or usbs to the computers handling the 911 calls... metro says they can rule out a hack... and add despite the crash they're confident in the system... "even though we do not know a definitive reason for the destruction of service we do have enough information to better prepare against any future failure of the system simply put our system is stronger as a result of a thorough look into this matter." metro did just install this new 911 system in december it cost two point three million dollars. as for how many calls were made during the

metro says nicky's handler sergeant eric kerns has been working.... but nicky is out of commission while recovering. this arrest report outlines the terrible crime... it all started thursday night at an apartment near maryland and twain.. people called 9- 1-1 after hearing a man screaming for help and then hearing gun shots... police say tolavius timmons- seen here on his facebook page... refused to come out of his home during a standoff overnight and into friday morning... while crisis negotiators were trying to reason with timmons.. they sent in a wolverine robot to get a good line of communication with him and see if anyone else was inside... but investigators say he lifted up the approximately 600 pound robot and flipped it on its side... making it unusable... that robot costs about five-thousand dollars.. eventually sergeant kerns and k-9 nicky went in the apartment to perform a plan.... timmons still refused to exit so nicky was released to the back bedroom where timmons was yelling from... timmons suffered dog bites... but when nicky came out- he was bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds.. he left a trail of blood and was rushed to the emergency animal

later during a search metro police found timmons had used a machete to attack nicky.. there were also four air soft guns which resembled real firearms.. and a cross bow with an arrow... and again i spoke with a k-9 handler tom moore who said nicky was in such good spirits today- and didn't even seem like anything had happened to him.. and if his stitches were out he'd probably be right back to work. reporting live ew ffn llv timmons is facing multiple charges.. including resisting a public officer with a firearm.... attacking a police animal.... and damaging and destroying state property. mistreating a police animal is a felony- and is punishable with prison time and up to ten thousand dollars in fines. a judge
