report shows garcia-martinez is cooperating with authorities... according to that report, police got a call from someone who knows garcia- martinez on february 9th... they aranged to speak with garcia- martinez and noticed the same van witnesses had been describing sitting in his driveway. during the interview garcia- martinez said it was a dark colored car which hit 2-year-old evelyn green. he said that car sped away and he stopped, in his van, to help the little girl and her family. he eventually changed his story in another interview with police, saying while the dark car hit evelyn first, he might have accidently ran her over after n/t being able to swerve... he said he didnt contact police because he was scared. " soon as i heard the screaming, you know, thats when it happened... i seen the mother picking her up from there, running in here. there was no other car behind there, if there was a car behind him it wouldve been going real fast. i didnt see no vehicle." neighbors say they didnt see a dark car, but north las vegas police say they can't exactly rule that out until theyre done examining garcia- martinez's van. " the family is at piece right now" as for evelyn's family, theyre in california for her funeral. after

robot costs about five-thousand dollars.. eventually sergeant kerns and k-9 nicky went in the apartment to perform a plan.... timmons still refused to exit so nicky was released to the back bedroom where timmons was yelling from... timmons suffered dog bites... but when nicky came out- he was bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds.. he left a trail of blood and was rushed to the emergency animal hospital... later during a search metro police found timmons had used a machete to attack nicky.. there were also four air soft guns which resembled real firearms.. and a cross bow with an arrow... another k-9 officer told us nicky is in great spirits... and as soon as his stiches are out, he'll probably go back to work. timmons on the other hand, is facing several charges including attacking a police animal. mistreating a police animal is a felony, and timmons faces up to four years in prison for that alone. its been two weeks... and metro police say they still do not know what caused their

center to crash. during a press conference today metro says they are taking new steps to avoid another problem... fox 5s cyndi lundeberg was at the meeting and has more on what they think may have happenned. the february second crash lasted for six hours... and while metro says they arent sure why it happenned.. they believe it had something to do with a data overload.. so currently they are doing everything they can to lessen data coming into their system. we will coninue to work with our partners to monitor the system and implement best practices moving forward so we can serve our community to the best of our ability the metro police department said tuesday they still do not know what caused a six hour crash of their 911 call system. they believe their airbus i-p system suffered what's called a broadcast storm. jon matero president - network heroes a broadcast storm would be a lot of data purging out into the network that would cause such a clog bottleneck that it would disable the network from functioning during the february second outage calls were directed to the north las vegas

slower than usual response times frustrated dozens including juan juarez whos home burnt to the ground... his dog was also lost in the fire. juan- i called them at 601 601 601 602 603 604 a lot of neighbos were calling and couldnt get to them fox 5 reached out to juarez... he told us he's still too devastated to talk... adding he blames the emergency call system failure in part for the destruction. juan - the fire escalated in 2 - 3 minutes metro says while weeks later they cannot pinpoint the cause of the failure... they are implementing changes to hopefully avoid another outage including enhanced monitoring of the 911 system... new protocols for anyone working inside the call center... and also reminding employees that they are prohibited from connecting outside devices ... like cell phones... to department computrs. jon it doesnt add up that a usb device of some sort would cause an entire ip server to go down the way that it did metro says they've learned from the crash saying it's strengthed the system.
11:09 pm
department uses was purchased in december for more than two million dollars... jon- it kind of baffles me that they spent so much money and youd think theyd be prepared for this type of scenario jon theres a lot of things that could have been done to prevent such a thing from happening its technology it can fail its our hope that weve taken all precautions to prevent that jon matero from network heroes says there are likely two reason the 911 system crashed... the first one was a problem with the i-p server.... the other is whats called a loop back issue... so someone from inside the police dpearment plugs a cable back into the network or hub... so data is being fed from the server... back into the server and utlimately causes it to crash... it overloads itself. matero says there is software to prevent that... reporting live cyndi lundebreg fox 5 news local

i'm bernie sanders, and i approve this message. reid didn't hold back on how he feels about n-v energy... at a dedication ceremony for a new solar array at nellis air force he called n-v energy a "monopoly", and needs to be made to help people purchased solar for their homes. ""the present system should let people put solar on roof. let them do so." " reid joined air force leaders, n-v energy officials, and sun-power executives to flip the switch on the new solar array. n-v energy president paul caudill told us he disagrees with reid's remarks. "some view the company as a monopoly, but relative to the way we operate in the state, i look at us as a regulated utility. " the two arrays will produce 28 megawatts for the base. the extra power
