today in america, the top 1/10 of 1% owns almost as much wealth as the bottom 90% this great country and our government belong to all of us. wall street, corporate america, wealthy campaign donors have so much influence that the only way they are defeated is when millions of people begin to stand up and say loudly and clearly, "enough is enough." i'm bernie sanders, and i approve this message. in the next few days - nevada democrats and republicans will caucus to determine which candidates will get our states delagates at the national convention. democrats caucus on saturday.

tuesday. but how does the system work if you decide to take part? fox 5's kevin bolinger joins us with a breakdown of the process. kevin in studio: contrary to what many believe - the caucus is not run by the state - it's actually run by each individual state party. and the demorcrats and republicans both do things differently. the end result is the same - finding the person that will get the delegates of nevada when the conventions take place this summer. the silver state has used the caucus system since 2008 - making the switch to become the first of the western states to help determine nominees. but it's brought plenty of confusion to voters who don't understand just how the caucus system works - which has scared people away from taking part. here's what you need to know to be armed with the information to jump into the political process. nats of candidate rallies/4boxed nevada has seen all of the presidential candidates numerous times making appearances

the voters to decide who should get the party nomination....and in our state it's done using the caucus system. mark peplowski: this is the ultimate ground game. because each campaign is going to be working to turn people out to the caucus. getting them there is the problem. mark peplowski: the passive voters don't go. the once in a lifetime voters don't go. but those who really care about the political process, this allows them to be first in line to make a difference. both democrats and republicans are hoping people turn out to caucus - not only does it give a better gague of where people stand...but it allows the parties to establish engaged voters to develop a ground game to get out the vote in november. state senator aaron ford: it's talking to your neighbor about who it is you're supporting, why you're supporting that person, why your neighbor should support that person

telling you to support the person she's supporting. it's an easy process. it's not intimidating and it's not something we should avoid. michael mcdonald: it's about bringing the message to the rest of the state on where we stand and how important the caucus is to be invovled, to have your voices heard, to get behind the candidate of your choice and at the end of the day when we come out with a nominee, then everybody get behind that nominee and that's how we take the white house. depending on your party - the caucus is run differently. the democrats meet saturday at 11 a-m republicans tuesday - anywhere from 5 to 7 pm depending on your preceint. unregistered voters can register as a democrat at the caucus site....republicans had to register by february 13th. democrats will vote by breaking into groups of the candidate of their choice listening to arguments of fellow voters. state senator aaron ford/(d) senate minority leader: the easy way to describe it is it's a community conversation. i consider caucusing as practice for picking our next president. but really all it is a
