sunrise avenue .. near fremont and eastern. police say an argument between the women ended with one of them being stabbed in the chest. she was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. police say it's not clear what the argument was about-- but there were several witnesses. the stabbing was also in clear shot of a mobile crime camera nearby-- that police will be using to see exactly what happened. officers tried to avoid shooting a man who was wounded in a confrontation tonight that recovering from the shooting night in a near las vegas boulevard and the saint rose fox five's ophelia young is there live... after talking with a woman... who recorded video of the confrontation - from just a few hundred feet away. the woman's cell phone camera was pointed towards this driveway - where police shot the man in the shoulder. the 10 minute video captures

negotiating to gunfire and her reaction. gunshot - he shot her... the woman behind this video says metro fire that shot after 10 to 15 minutes of pleading with the man. nat put down gun "probably between 30 to 50 times they told him to put the gun down." lynneve nunez had just parked in her driveway when she noticed cop cars arriving at a home a few doors down. she had noticed the man standing in the driveway when she passed it moments earlier. "he didnt seem like a threat or anything i figured guy sitting out in front of the house." police police parked in front of him - she began recording the exchange. "drop the gun sir! drop the gun!" earlier around 8 in the evening - metro received calls describing a man wandering the neighborhood pointing a gun at people.

metro pleaded with him to drop the firearm. "they asked him, what's wrong with you? they said, we don't want to shoot you! put the gun down! they yelled at him repeatedly in english and in spanish asked him habla espanol trying to figture out what language he spoke. they really tried to communicate with him and all he really did was move his hands like he was trying to communicate but we didn't hear." metro says the man instead lifted the gun towards an officer, "fire" and thats when an officer shot him in the shoulder. lynneve's recording captures her reaction on another phone with friend. "i don't know if he's dead. they're putting up the yellow tape now. they did tell him after they shot him. they ran up to him and yelled at him not to move." she was not totally surprised to learn - the gun was actually fake. "if anything he felt like he was more of a threat to himself than to the police officers or to anybody else." the man was taken to the hospital and is expected to live. neighbors still question if the man is homeless or if he's mentally ill. lynneve is glad she recorded the whole thing "i think my video kind of showed that the officers in this scenario handled everything incredibly. very safe. they didn't unload their weapons on him and handled it very professionally." the calls came from neighbors

acting strangely. we speak to some of those neighbors coming up at 5:30 reporting live... this is metro's third officer- involved shooting.... so far.... this year. a 26-year-old north las vegas man who was accused of abducting and raping teenage girls has agreed to plead guilty to sex assault charges. today in court, jimmy carter kim waived his preliminary hearing and avoided public testimony from his young victims. he did this by accepting a last- minute plea deal which includes having 79 other charges dismissed. one of the victim's fathers was also in ocurt today, but did not want to be identified. "hopefully i never have to see his face again at least in person."

the most important thing. im very satisfied with the way district attorney protecting the victims that's very important." the day after police arrested kim, his father let fox 5 into his home and showed us the room where kim kept the girls. the four charges kim says he will plead guilty to could get him at least 35 years in state prison. new at six.. an update now on rumors of trouble with the future of faraday future in north las vegas. lawmakers recently approved a 250 million dollar incentive package to bring an electric car manufacturing plant to apex industrial park. that company, faraday future, promises to employ about 45 hundred workers with an hourly rate of at least 22 dollars. but recent articles online suggest the company is running out of money. others say the auto maker is violating air quality regulations at its site. faraday future told us it is on track to start construction in april. we also received this statement from the state treasurer's office that reads in part... "before any state funds are used
