and now, we're learning who this victim is and what happened to her. we sent fox5's miguel martinez- valle to hunt for answers. he's live in the newsroom with what we know now. within the last 30 minutes friends of the woman who was found have identified her to me as wendy rodriguez, a person they describe as a wonderufl friend and family member whos life was taken too soon... they say they last heard from her last night when she went to the bank, they were searching for her until moments ago... we now know wendy was the victim of this horrible crime... police say the homeowner called to report her body after midnight... when officers went in to investigate they found rodriguez on the ground. officers tell me she was only wearing a bra and it looked like someone partially covered her with a blanket... they say it was clear there was a struggle there was lots of blood, and she had some kind head trauma...

investigating after a naked 2 year old was found unattended at an apartment complex near twain and cambridge. fox5s abby theodros was there as cps responded to the call- she details of what's being done to make sure the child is safe. still a lot of unanswered questions tonight like how long the toddler was roaming around the complex for- but police tell me the childs pregnant mom was at a local hospital giving birth- and the boy was under the watch of someone else i want to toss to some video here of the child and a cps agent at the complex. you can see he was eventually clothed. police tell me a security guard found him a little before 10 this morning. we talked to a witness who saw the ordeal- he didnt want to go on camera but says the family moved in less than a month ago- and its not the first

the median if they run out of time but erin breen of "the vunerable road users project" says... they often don't. n-dot says they'll be starting a three million dollar upgrade to boulder highway next summer. motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death for teens between ages 14 and 18. that's according to sunrise hospital. they're fighting that statistic by hosting a trauma talk. teens from all over the valley were invited to see what happens when you get in a crash. they watched live crash demo and toured the hospitals intensive care unit-- they also got to experience impaired driving. the event was hosted by trauma services at sunrise hospital. "the most important message that we're giving the kids today is when you get in any vehicle put you seatbelt on, where it the correct way that you're supposed to. never ever drink and drive nor get in the vehicle with someone who has been drinking. including their parents."
