"the fall to the end of the year is the worst time for pedestrian safety, and today we've already killed 32 people in our community crossing the street" the 32 pedestrian fatalities are more than at this point last year -- and on deadly record. "we are 8 pedestrian fatalities ahead of last year in clark county, so we could be literally in record territory, well we are right now in record territory" so this week several local groups are teaming up, to teach students -- and parents -- how to get to school safely. "it's stressful for teachers if they go to a school that isn't supplied." "local teachers, private school teachers, home school parents or just parents to have an opportunity to come buy teacher materials and supplies at a fraction of the retail price." they've saved teachers nearly 15 thousand dollars over the six years they've been in business.
