orders have been lifted. they affected more than 80- thousand people at one point. some roads - including parts of highway 138 have limited access. more than 100 homes and 200 outbuildings - such as sheds or barns - have been destroyed by the flames. but no one was killed. the inferno began in the cajon pass area and scorched about 57 square miles. one of the buildings destoryed was a historic restaurant called the "summit inn". it was a familiar sight to drivers on the i-15... but now - has been reduced to rubble. last week - fox five spoke to the current owner - who bought the diner just weeks ago. paul vercammen caught up with the former owners - who are sad to see history - go up in flames. natsot: "the wine rack, a lot of other stuff, the gumboil machine over there." cecil stephens, longtime owner of the summit inn before he sold it a month ago can't believe the bluecut fire torched his life's work.
