that's right john..cyndi.... earlier today i spoke with a local bee keeper.. who says ten bee stings per pound is all it takes for the body to be overwhelmed.... meaning if a 180- pound man were to be stung 18- hundred to 2- thousand times the body would start to shutdown.... now that seems like a lot.. but i'm told a couple thousnd bees is just ten-percent of an average africanized bee hive.... which is the type of bee hive pacheco was attempting to remove. i'm also told close to 100- percent of bees in the valley are africanized...but only 25-percent are aggressive.... las vegas fire and rescue say the amount of calls they receive have gone down more and more over the years... the bees you have to look out for are the ones coming out of walls... sprinkler heads... and cracks in buildings... "people think oh, we'll just let them go, well you're really wishing death on your neighborhood because as soon as they take flight, the first thing that has musk perfume or different perfumes, loud noise, bees are going to attack it."

swarms happen every three to four weeks for africanized bees..and every time they swarm they split.. multiplying and spreading... now if you think you have a bee issue...las vegas fire and rescue say.. do not call 9-1-1... call a local.. licensed bee keeper to remove them immediately.... l-v fire and rescue say they will only respond if someone is stung and dealing with life or death situations... l-v fire and rescue say they do offer a hotline where you can leave a two-minute recording....that number is 702-229- 2000.. a motorcyclist was killed earlier today... after a crash with a chevrolet suburban. this happened just before 12, at the i-15 northbound off- ramp and d-street. metro says the motorcyclist had just exited the freeway when the crash happened. the rider died at the scene. police say the rider was 43 years old, and the

it's getting closer and closer to the first day of school for a lot of kids in clark county -- and today, doctors and nurses were getting them ready to make sure they don't get sent home. fox5's adam herbets found out what types of vaccines kids need to get before school starts. john/ cyndi they made it pretty clear at the event today -- if your kid isn't vaccinated -- they're not going to put everyone else at risk by keepin the classroom. all of the parents we talked to said they were happy about that rule -- but of course, the school knows, there will be parents who resist. when a bunch of families are sitting down... waiting for their shots... we're not sure who looked more worried. the kids... or the parents. pamela/ oh yes. i think he will cry. he usually cries for his shots. adelina/ i got three. it wasn't -- it really wasn't as bad as i thought. adelina hicks said it had been a while
