this morning. fox5's eric hilt is live -- where was the truck found? the truck was found at a gas station at nellis and twain...about 15 minutes away from where it was stolen, in front of carolyn and her husband john's home. the truck was stolen yesterday afternoon -- leaving carolyn and john were very upset, and leaving carolyn with no way of getting to and from chemotherapy treatments. she told fox5 it felt like everything was falling apart -- but she still had hope. this morning that hope paid she said she saw on facebook that the truck had been found and then shortly after got a call from metro. "thanks for all your prayers and thanks for coming together as a community, you made my life a little better" the car was first found by a tow truck driver who was called to haul it away... he told me that he had seen the truck on fox5 and

overturned on the 215 off-ramp by the airport. this happened just after midnight. the fruit spilled all over the road. this area was shut down for several hours. investigators did not say if anyone was hurt. a toddler was rushed to spring valley hospital earlier today after a near drowning incident at a home near rainbow and twain. the child's condition is unknown at this time. fox5s vince sapienza is at the neighbors with reactions from neighbors (latest information) i reached out to a man who was inside the home this afternoon, but they declined to speak with me however i did talk to some nearby neighbors who are still in

"shocked" "oh my goodness" neighbors couldn't believe what they heard. "i heard screams next door and saw the door be violently opened, but i didn't think a baby falling into the pool happened, i just thought the dogs got into a fight or something" neighbors i spoke to were left with more questions than answers. "was it that one second somebody went to feed the dogs and left the sliding glass door open, it doesn't take more than a second." and that's the message local marsala... the director of safe kids at sunrise hospital is trying to send out. "trust me i know the kids are quick they can get out of sight quick but we need to remember that around any body of water a child has to have adult supervision at all times " jeanne says the number of drownings and near drowning incidents higher this year compared to last year. "people just always assume, oh it's never going to happen to me, i don't need to put a gate around my pool, it's never going to happen"

comes to drowning or near drowning incidents a missing teen boy who was last seen in idaho - may be traveling to the las vegas area. the national center for missing and exploited children said 15- year-old brayden pitman was last seen in late february in nampa, idaho. the organization believes pitman is in utah - and may intend to travel to southern nevada. the organization urged anyone with information on pitman's whereabouts to contact police right away. you can also call the national center for missing and exploited number seen on screen right now. a man is accused of using craigslist to lure underage teenagers then sexually exploit them. metro police arrested 63-year- old david coil as part of a sex trafficking investigation. investigators say they think coil started luring teens online last october. coil is charged with sex trafficking of a child under 18... soliciting or engaging in child prostitution... and attempted sex trafficking of a

looking for other possible victims or anyone who may have answered an ad from coil. call police - or crimestoppers at 702-385-55-55. a defense lawyer is investigating the role of drug addiction - in the arrest shane ross - the son of las vegas mayor pro tem steve ross. he faces a number of multiple armed robbery and burglary charges. attorney david chesnoff said wednesday he may also seek the release from jail of the 27- year-old.... pending a preliminary hearing in early october. shane ross has been held on 60- thousand dollars bail since his arrest friday in a string of armed robberies. the family acknowledged in a statement that shane ross has struggled with addiction. police say the arrest came after robberies at a fast-food restaurant, a nearby chain drug store and a doughnut shop, and appeared to solve a string of robberies involving a motorcycle rider wearing a helmet. poor air quality - and a smokey haze in southern nevada continues to be blamed on california

the all-cash deal was announced "z capital partners" - the private equity arm of "z capital group". the group already owns about 41 percent of affinity stock - and plans to buy the remaining shares for about 17 dollars each. affinity owns the silver sevens in las vegas - and three resorts near the state line at primm. it also owns properties in colorado - missouri - and iowa. the state ordered daily fantasy sports sites to stop operations in nevada last year. now they could be making a comeback. "fan duel" and "draft kings" back a proposed bill that would give the sites a new pathway to operate legally in nevada. the state barred those sites for not having a gambling license. the proposal calls for a 10- thousand dollar annual licensing fee for larger operators and would require background checks only for major owners. daily fantasy sports companies scored a major victory monday when they were cleared to resume operations in new

investigation continues into a scaffolding collapse... that left one man dead tuesday. his wife says he wasn't originally scheduled to work that day. "he wasn't supposed to go to work, so i told him just stay home, take a day off. he said, 'no, i need to make more income,' ricardo bautista died - when he fell to the ground- at the tivoli village retail complex in the west valley. the 30-year-old leaves behind three young sons. his wife- jacquelin tells us her husband was hardworking... the construction job was a side gig - to make more money for his family. bautista was one of three men working on the scaffold when it collapsed. the other men jumped to safety. "they called me at 2:40 saying he had an accident. i said, 'what kind of accident? tell me, where is he at?' i'm not gonna see him walk through this door no more." the family has a go-fund-me account.
