(the time is now) we've been trying to get a stadium done in oakland, then the opportunity in las vegas came to our attention (m davis) promotional material like this is what the developers are showing county and state leaders to get the deal done. we want people to understand how sincere we are in becoming a fabric of the las vegas community players working with schools, charities, things i don't think anyone else other than raiders and nfl can bring to the unlv is on board. the rebels would play under this dome too. this for us has been the missing ingredient to move to a power 5 conference right now is the perfect time, perfect storm, with the team motivated to come here time. that's what's running out. we're running out of time, there's a lot of people in this project, we're spending a lot of money, we need to know if we have the support. legislators need to decide how much public funding will go into the project. and us still looking in the window here (standup) so let's take a look at the game plan: cost of construction, land, the practice facility and contingency funds total one point 895 billion. who's paying? this is private funding- 500 million from the raiders, 650 million from shelden adelson, then 750 million in public funding. that totals one point nine billion. but this 750 million in public funding is still up in the air. 2150 we're committed to our position. it hasn't one. 2152 we've always said that number, we remain consistent and committed. this is a game changing project for this city and this state, so we're hoping it gets done robert goldstein, dir., president and chief operating officer at las vegas sands corp. the adelson owned sands corporation president says the state must contribute that 750 million or adelson walks. he's never changed his mind, he's happy to change his mind and say i tried my best the money would come from 20 cent a night increase in the hotel tax. 20 cent impact on a room, we think that is going to be

paying for the stadium, it's going to be paid by tourists, we think that increase in the room tax will be suitable"andy abboud, sand corporation (the time is now) 447 together we can turn the silver state into silver and black state (nats, cheering) (p1) 20306 "las vegas raiders" logo, fade out an important note- even though most of the stadium funding would come from private money, this would be a publicly owned facility. the committee's next meeting is in september, that's when they need to make a recommendation to submit to the state legislature. if the legislature doesn't vote on this by the end of the year, the whole project could be in jeopardy. powerful tornadoes tore apart homes and business in the midwest yesterday.. and recovery is underway. and in phoenix ... what caused this city bus to become stuck in the middle of a road.. on top of what looks like a guyser! a local woman just wanted to show her support for police officers with her flag.. but what someone did to it this week has her fearing for her safety. your fox5 weather 24/7 forecast is
