tarkanian middle school and it was all caught on camera. fox5's eric hilt is live there rigth now... with what c-c-s-d police is saying about that arrest... witnesses say it was already a hectic scene out here in front of tarkanian middle school during drop-off on the first day of classes -- but there was even more chaotic when a ccsd police officer arrested a woman right in front of the school. this is video shot by a parent... he told me that the woman was maced and thrown to the ground by front of dozens of students and parents. a clark county school district police lt. told me that the woman was stopped for a traffic violation and was uncooperative with the officer...but parents still have more questions. been bumpy for a lot of other parents this year... especially because of complaints with the bus system. fox5's adam herbets spoke to the school district today about those complaints -- and found out what they're doing about it. john/ christine the clark county school district said all of these problems should sort themselves out by the end of the first week of school... but if you tell that to parents -- they say that answer isn't good enough -- they're worried it might only take one miscommunication for something to happen to a child... especiallyf their own. so -- let me give you a rundown of the complaints we've heard so far. --kids being late to class because the bus is late. --bus drivers dropping kids off at the wrong stop. --kids being left on the bus because they never got off --and we even heard of a kid who didn't have a place to sit on the bus... even though she was just recovering from knee surgery... so she got off. the district says if a parent wants to file a complaint they will look into what happened... but for the most part, they defended their employees.

safety. our number one priority is always safety. the goal is to get our kids to and from their location safely and we ask our entire community to help us do that. it takes parents. it takes students. it takes staff at our schools. and it takes the whole community to make sure that happens. nothing's going to be perfect, especially the first week of school -- but our bus drivers are doing a great job and we rely on them heavily." that was melinda malone, a spokesperson for the district. she went on to say that every child should always be accompanied by an adult... and that there should always be a seat for your child on the bus. so those are cases the school district will look into. she said if there were policy violations -- certain bus drivers or employees could be disciplined. so -- if you have any problems like this -- please give the school district a call. john/ christine

and nighclubs so they know what to look for to make sure their party goers stay safe. if you notice something that's not right... don't just let it slide... be an active bystander! "we know that active bystander intervention, watching out for your group of friends and others around you and intervening if someone's behavior becomes problematic, is the key to preventing sexual assault." uber is also partnering with the campaign. starting tomorrow and running through the 5th... uber will donate 5 dollars from eac the rape crisis center. and just remember this weekend... you can have fun... just be safe... be aware of your surroundings. especially women 18-24... they're the most at risk. just play it smart. a news photographer pulls up to a crash scene... but instead of filming on his camera -- he springs into action to help a victim.
