came to us with bite marks on her legs claiming she got them from bed bugs while eating at the restaurant. since then... the restaurant has closed... been inspected by the health department.. and reopened. but... we still have questions. fox5's kathleen jacob is live at the silver nugget where we went inside and did our own inspection today. that's right guys... we've asked the health department over and over for interviews about their inspection process for three days straight now... and every they're just too busy. so... we took matters into our own hands. ((nats-- getting out of car "good luck")) fox 5 news intern jennifer hurtado walked right into the home town kitchen in the silver nugget casino... ready to experience it herself. i asked for a booth just to make sure that we were in the right setting as the original story. i did get there. initially the place looked spotless. looked spotless... and smelled spotless. it still smelled of carpet cleaner
6:15 pm
you can tell that they did clean up whatever mess was going on there. she didn't see any bugs... but she said the booth she was in.. did match the picture barbi strenstrom posted to facebook. i took a good look around and nothing was out of the ordinary but i did ask my server what was going on about the pictures and that i did see the incident on the news. she says the server didn't want to talk about the incident... but it didn't look like it had dettered many of their frequent customers. there was a lot of people there actually, so for breakfast time it was pretty full...so everything looks like it's back to normal. she overheard many of these people talking about the facebook post... and even heard some say they had never seen anything like it at the restaurant. it did look clean, so i hope they did clean up this efficiantly. i was not able to physically bend over and look under the booth (laughs). but... jennifer's visit was cut short. they came up and they said "excuse me ma'am, we have

customers claiming that you are taking photos. jennifer left the restaurant after that... but says it was clear to her many changes were made. it looked like they were following procedures according to a restuarant health code. we once again reached out to the silver nugget for comment... and once again we have not heard from them. at this point... we are gong to keep pressing the health district to go over their inspection procedures with us... so we can get a more clear picture of what is inspected. reporting live...kathleen jacob... fox 5 news... local. las vegas. hours - the nevada tourism infrastructure committee could vote to send a n- f-l stadium proposal bill to the state. the possible vote is in the agenda for tomorrow's meeting. if the committee approves the 1- point-9 billion dollar plan .. it will go to the nevada legislature and governor's office.. lawmakers will then have to hold a special session to either vote on the bill .. or vote to send it back to the county to vote on final approval. one of the biggest issues in this process has been the request for 750-million dolalrs in public funding from clark county hotel room tax. "i would have more apprehension if this was funded by sales
6:25 pm
it's not. it's funded by a hotel room tax- .88% to fund our portion of it. the issue that i've got a bigger problem with is we're looking at 750 million on the public side. 500 million from the team and the developer would cover the difference but there's a lot of infrastructure costs thats going to be included in this" the developers - sands and the oakland raiders have agreed to pay for the rest of the stadium costs. the bill as drafted outlines many aspects of building and operating the stadium .. including forming authority .. a group of local leaders including elected officials. las vegas mayor carolyn goodman, who is on the committee voting tomorrow, continues to push for teh stadium to be built in downtown at the current site of cashman field. however, the two site proposals on the table right now are at the current bali hai golf course site on las vegas boulevard near the las vegas sign... and a sight on russell road on the west side of interstate 15 currently used as a truck stop. we'll be right

jim dunlap: too many nevada police officers have been killed in the last few years. the truth is, we make it too easy for criminals and the dangerously mentally ill to buy guns. they get them at gun shows or online from strangers, no questions asked. so here's something we can do to honor the fallen: close the background check loophole. that will help prevent future cop killings. in states that have closed the loophole, nearly half as many police officers have been shot and killed in the line of duty. background checks save lives.

i'm hillary clinton and i approve this message. he's a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot. donald trump is a phony, a fraud. he's not a serious adult. i can't vote for donald trump given the things that he said. trump should not be supported. i believe he's disqualified himself to be president.
