naturalized u-s citizen from afghanistan. officials launching a manhunt for him just hours before his arrest... releasing these photos of him. he was wanted in connection with dual explosions on saturday. one in seaside park, new jersey. the second here in new york city's chelsea neighborhood. o'neill says: "..now that we have this suspect in custody, the investigation can focus on other aspects, such as whether this individual acted alone and what his motivations may have been." the search for rahami kicked into high gear this morning ... after a third blast... this time in elizabeth, new jersey... one of five devices left inside a bag discovered in a trash can at the local train station blew up sunday evening as a bomb squad tried to disarm it. it's the same city where federal officers searched an apartment -- also in connection with rahami. bollwage says: ".. the town is extremely safe, the businesses are open, the trains are running, the schools are open. people need to continuing move on with their daily lives." in manhattan's chelsea neighborhood, joel waldman, fox news. in addition - isis has claimed responsibility for a stabbing attack on saturday - at a minnesota shopping mall. the threat of terror is an important consideration for all law enforcement around the country. that includes major tourist destinations - like right here in las vegas. metro police devotes resources to the "southern nevada counter- terrorism center" - which operates in conjunction with the department of homeland security. police cameras are in place throughout the strip - not missing tourist corridor. i'll tell you what, i keep an eye out on every, cause we have tourists and stuff, i watch a lot, and i have to say our police in the city are probably as good as any police i've ever seen. they're everywhere and they're really keeping an eye on stuff. police say to always be viligant - and to look out for people who are suspiciously filming things - asking specific security questions - and testing the limits of security. a two-year project is underway - to

stretch of interstate 15 near the motor speedway. a ceremony to kick off the renovations was held today at the speedway - by local lawmakers - and the nevada department of transportation. the 34-million dollar plan will widen five miles of the four lane interstate - to six travel lanes in each direction. crews will also improve four overpasses, upgrade drainage and install new lights, signs and landscaping. henderson hospital is still weeks from opening - but we are getting our first look inside. eric hilt took a tour of the facility and has more on its most unique feature story you'll only see on fox5 "we got a look at a lot of features here at henderson hospital, including these lights that actually disinfect while they're on, and henderson hospital is the first hospital in the nation to have them" the lights are installed in the operating room as well as pre-op and recovery rooms. they are constantly on and are safe for people to be around. hospital directors told me it's exciting to be the first in the country to use these types of lights -- especially

jim dunlap: too many nevada police officers have been killed in the last few years. the truth is, we make it too easy for criminals and the dangerously mentally ill to buy guns. they get them at gun shows or online from strangers, no questions asked. so here's something we can do to honor the fallen: close the background check loophole. that will help prevent future cop killings. it works. in states that have closed the loophole, nearly half as many police officers have been shot and killed in the line of duty. background checks save lives.

a plane bound for reno... rolled off the runway - at denver international airport. it happened while the plane was getting ready to take off sunda night. no one was hurt - when the united flight veered into a grassy area... passengers reported hearing the engines roar loudly before the plane suddenly stopped. the pilot told them the brakes weren't working - and used emergency reverse engines to keep the aircraft away from a ditch. the passengers were taken by bus to the concourse - and re-booked on a later flight. clean-up begins after a plane crashed into an arizona home over the weekend. it happened near phoenix - in gilbert saturday night. the homeowners were inside watching t-v... but were able to run out before the home caught fire. the cessna 182 was carrying four skydivers who had already parachuted out. police say the pilot noticed problems with the plane - and decided to jump out too. he was injured from some flames -
