this is doctor jorge burgos -- polcie arrested the north las vegas internal medicine doctor this morning.. it happened at his office on east lake mead near civic center-- he is accused of inappropriately touching a patient... on several occassions. he's facing several counts of open and gross lewdness. tonight though -- he's a free man. after posting a 6- thousand dollar bond. we put calls in to the 50 year old's office... after we couldn't reach anyone... we stopped by his person. we also visited a home address under his name in north las vegas. the woman who awnsered the door -- claimed he no longer lived there. online... we found patient complaints for burgos and his practice.. ranging from long appointment wait times... to a rude office staff... to billing issues.. along with some good reviews. but nothing about inappropriate behavior with patients. tonight we're also learning--- doctor burgos has been in practice for more than 20 years.

when you figure out it's a device that can unlock cars, it's very uncomfortable. you think about what if they can come up with a device to open the garage, break our alarm system? adams tells us a thief broke into his wife's car wednesday morning outside his centennial hills home, too. the thief made off with a cell phone and i-pods. just unlocking cars, you feel like you're never safe, need to take extra precautions adams and his father-in-law tell fox5 they filed a police report, but haven't heard if officers have any leads. we checked metro police crime stats. yesterday alone, there were more than 40 car thefts reported, that's not including break-ins like these. a scary moment on the north end of the las vegas strip today. a suspicious package was found -- prompting a partial evacuation of the stratosphere... and the shut down of parts of las vegas boulevard. fox five's miguel martinez-valle was there as details of the

jim dunlap: too many nevada police officers have been killed in the last few years. the truth is, we make it too easy for criminals and the dangerously mentally ill to buy guns. they get them at gun shows or online from strangers, no questions asked. so here's something we can do to honor the fallen: close the background check loophole. that will help prevent future cop killings. it works. in states that have closed the loophole, nearly half as many police officers illed in the line of duty. background checks save lives.

governor brian sandoval offically called for a special session of the nevada legislature... that session is set to take place no sooner than october 7th... and no later than october 13th. by doing this... the governor is playing a political game of football himself... he'll be trying to score enough votes before the clock runs out on him. "the governor had to strategize when would be the best time to get it called. knowing the nfl is meeting in january he didn't want to wait till the last second and risk maybe not doing it." fox5 political peplowski says don't expect this stadium project to be rubber stamped thru... the governor only needs a simple majority of yes votes... but getting those votes could be challenging... the 750 million of public funding is a major red flag... couple that with the expansion of the lvcva... and more funding for law enforcement... that big price tag could scare off some lawmakers.
