bail was set for the man accused of shooting a former girlfriend and another man at a mccarran airport parking structure. jeffery brown appeared before a judge today - for an initial court appearance. brown was taken into custody late monday night in connection to the shooting earlier that evening. bail was set today dollars. the 68-year-old was booked on two counts attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm in a prohibited area and a count of assault with a deadly weapon. according to an arrest report, the domestic- related shooting stemmed from a love triangle. " " a lawyer for ricki barlow says the f-b-i is investigating the las vegas city councilman's campaign contributions. defense attorney richard wright told the review- journal that barlow knows he is being investigated and

has done anything wrong. the fbi declined to comment. wright says he believes the fbi and federal prosecutors are looking at possible violations of what is called the "honest services" law as well as wire and mail fraud. a las vegas communications director says the city has received a records request from the fbi and is cooperating fully. he said the city could not elaborate further because of the ongoing investigation. a las vegas defense attorney has agreed to remove a "black lives matter" pin from her blouse. to state court judge held firm and said he wouldn't allow displays of political viewpoints during proceedings in his courtroom. this is previous video of the lawyer - and the orginal courtroom confrontation over the matter. deputy public defender erika ballou was in court to represent a client at a sentencing hearing in a domestic violence case before clark county district court judge douglas herndon. herndon says he asks everyone to leave political and opinion protests at the courtroom door.

been able to confirm that." damage is estimated at ten- thousand dollars - and includes the bed and minor smoke issues throughout the room. late this afternoon - a r-v parked between two homes - caught fire. it happened on raven wing canyon court -near silverado ranch - and spencer. flames spread to both neighboring homes.... although investigators say the damage is minimal to those home. a man was inside one of them - but got out safely. a second alarm the fire was put out quickly. a las vegas strip club that was the site of a fatal shooting in june has lost its license. city council unanimously suspended and permanently revoked the recently closed larry's villa's restricted gaming, tavern liquor, tobacco dealer and coin amusement machine licenses. business licensing officials cited a "continual and repetitive" pattern of illegal activity at the establishment, including stabbings, shootings, battery, robberies and domestic disturbances.

immigration service's reports over 926 thousand people have applied to become u-s citizens this year. and today-- 850 of those applicants wishes came true. people from the valley lined up at cashman fields for a naturalization ceremony. during the event-- organizers also took the time to educate the new citizens on voting rights. one man has been in the u-s for over 33 years and finally decided to get his citizenship so he can participate in this
