fox5vegas.com john/ christine flames tore through six businesses - in an overnight fire "the problem with this fire was that there was two roofs on the building and the fire was trapped between those two roofs. in some cases, homes, shopping centers. instead of taking a old roof and replacing it, it would be more costly, they just pulled a new roof over an old one and thats cheaper in the longrun." the fire was in the hallway of six connected businesses at a shopping center near rancho and washington - just before 3 a-m. fire crews at the station across the street saw heavy smoke - and took action immeditately. it took seventy- six firefighters and twenty-eight units to break into the roof and put out the fire. now - those business owners will try to pick up the pieces. carolina. the video is the first publicly released footage of the shooting, which spurred days of protests in charlotte. police said an officer shot scott after he failed to heed commands to drop a gun. his family has said he didn't have a gun. in the video- a person yells for someone -- apparently scott -- to "drop the gun." the wife is heard telling police her husband does not have a weapon -- and that he has t- b-i -- which stands for traumatic brain injury. as joel waldma expected again in north carolina for the fourth night in a row.
