there appears to be restricted access and safety concerns to worry about. fox-5's vince sapienza continues are team coverage. he talked to downtown neighbors. john..christine.... i'm standing in front of the 2-11 complex here in downtown vegas.... and what you see behind me looks like a front row view to the festival.... and it for those just passing by.. or visiting... but for the people who live here...it feels like a prison... "as you can hear, that's an all day thing, they did sound check yesterday till 2:00 in the morning, no one could sleep." and a lack of sleep isn't even what has tenants in the 211 apartment complex up in arms. instead, it's this. "what really alarmed us was this

the town that we patron 365 days a year, we live here, we're the residents." monique charles is one of the residents. she doesn't own a car - instead taking the rtc. what is normally a five minute walk...has now turned into an hour commute. "this has become a nightmare, like in a nightmare that is not ending." "makes no sense, the point of me moving downtown was convenience." but not everyone is inconvenienced. jack burwell has lived in downtown longer than the festival has been here. and he doesn't understand all the fuss. "a bunch of cry babies, they're dealing with a man who has money that is putting this thing on for everybody, they ain't going to do anything about it, go find something to do for a couple days." but it's more than a couple days. neighbors tell me set up started on wednesday and is not expected to be cleared until next wednesday. another issue for the neighbors is safety. neighbors say a woman was jumped this past week heading home from work. "she had to park so far out because of our restrictive parking and walked back to the building, she was

and chased her down an alley way." "people who are in wheelchairs, oxygen, or pregnant, so god forbid something happens to them we pray and wish a security guard will let them through and they don't." i'm told there are 24 shuttle buses throughout the downtown..designe d to help residents get around. but monique says most of them are not on time.. or not safe. "they're not even checking ids to make sure you belong in this community, so anyone can jump in the shuttle, free ride, free ride they try and mug you, feel up on you." "we're not trying to get free into the concert, we just coffe, our lucnh, go to the grocery store and be safe, that's all." now life is beautiful organizers sent out letters to everyone in

up hurting her, more than it hurts joe heck. of course joey heck has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in the past... but that wasn't an election year. (nats clapping) people at catherine cortez-masto's rally this morning liked what they heard... people who saw her opponent's son online... not so much. he posted. he used the n word in several postings. talking about victims of rape, just reading some of those comments that he put out there, that's add joe heck, the father, to the list of people are upset. he said he loves his son... but is disappointed him. they're all nodding their heads saying, i'm sorry joe. sorry you got to go through this. and then they're going to pick up and look -- "has joe ever said anything like this?" i'll be honest, like i haven't seen it, but again a child is a product of their environment our analyst says -- that doesn't fly. people trying to put the blame on dad... probably aren't going to get too far... because at this point, joey heck is a grown man. he's 19 years old...

old enough to know better. this didn't just happen. he didn't just post these things last week. this has been months, through the year. he'll probably go to counseling for his parents' sake until november 9th and then it'll be over. i was taught the important of leading by example. apparently joe heck was not. cortez-masto blamed papa heck for all kinds of hateful words. she had a long press conference this morning... but only addressed her opponent's son briefly. i've read it. i think they're horrendous, and i think that's the rhetoric that needs to stop. and that's what i'm talking about three years later he's still spewing the same thing, but actually worse. it's not the same, it's actually worse. as a part of his statement -- joey says he is now going to go to counseling... and deleted all of his social media accounts. we'll put that

"i hate to see somebody... mess that house up like that cause, hey, it could happen to me, you know. and, many times this neighborhood, i been over here over 50 years, and many times i thought about moving and i wish to hell i moved." the realtor says he is doing what he can to help the buyer find another home in a different neighborhood. tens of thousands of people signed a petition to save the life of a coyote who's become way too comfortable in a rhode island neighborhood.
