a friend of his says he went by the name sasha and served in the miltiary where he learned not to back away from conflict. that friend said he was a father of three. the escape of a murder suspect who broke out of handcuffs and ran from a north las vegas police holding room - may have been a one- of-a kind incident. law enforcement officials around the country say they can't recall a similar case. but police in southern nevada are double- checking equipment anyway - and reminding officers to keep an eye on people in custody. metro says its enacted what it takes to break the hinge of a set of "peerless" handcuffs - just like what happened in early september in north las vegas. both departments now say - long story short - people in custody should always be supervised. a group called "nevadans for the common good" is not fond of the proposed football stadium. the group is asking everyone to educate themselves on substantial risks involved with this deal. "nevadans for the common good" is made up of more than forty non

" the seven hundred and fifty million public subsidy would be the largest in history governor brian sandoval says he will call a special session sometime in october to consider the tax increase. a former indy racer who was paralyzed from the neck down is back in the driver's seat. "sam schmidt" is now nevada's first licensed driver of an autonomous vehicle. his modified corvette allows him to drive by using four cameras that monitor his head movements and transmits them to the tires. the car was modified by "arrow's electronics" they say this new technology means big things for the paralyzed and they hope it will be widely available in the next ten years.

for the first time - congress has rejected a veto by president obama. the house voted today - to override his veto of legislation that would allow the families of nine-eleven victims to sue saudi arabia. "two thirds having voted in favor, the bill is passed (thump) " the move by the house comes after the senate voted 97 to one... to also override the veto. saudi arabia is accused of backing the nine- eleven attackers. the legislation to sue the nation
