has introduced a program called "hear" - that aims to reduce bullying among high school students across the nation. the course introduces students to the army's core values of loyalty - duty - respect - selfless service - honor - integrity and personal courage. the national guard offered a presentation to explain the program at rancho high school today - and engaged the students in discussions on how to properly respond - when threatened by a bully. "they know they're alilke. they think most of us see ourselves as way different than somebody else. we have a lot more in common but we think we don't. when i share with them and they see that, it'a amazing the different mind change and how they act with each other. makeover - comes a new system to get books from the depths of the library - and into the hands of readers. a new high-tech trolley service has been installed... carrying books and materials up - from among eleven floors that are below ground level. it replaces a series of conveyor belts the library had been using for the last 35 years - but when one of its parts broke earlier this year - it shut down the whole system.... forcing the library to modernize how it brings the books from its darkened vaults below - to its bright halls above. "but doing it in a way that's completely seamless and hidden to the public."
