above his eye...he says he was trying to help a a student who was beaten up pretty badly. his family plans to seek legal action... metro is still investigating this situation, ccsd police also say they are aware of what happened and are working with police police say an inmate has died this evening at the clark county detention center. they say the call came in just before six. they say the homicide involved two inmates at the jail. we're told no officers were injured. police are not releasing any other information at this time. two california police officers were sho killed-- responding to a domestic disturbance call today. police in palm springs say a third officer was also wounded in that incident. there's no word who opened fire on them and why. the suspect remains at large. the condition of the injured officer wasn't made clear. the city's police chief says the officers were trying to negotiate with the suspect.
