avenue-- who refused to come out. swat was then called to the scene. this had been going on since about 8 this morning. we understand it ended peacefully and the scene is now clearing. (hillary clinton/(d) presidential nominee) "it's just awfully good that someone with the temperament of donald trump is not in charge of the law in our country." (donald trump/(r) presidential nominee) "because you'd be in jail." jab after jab they went..... the presidential contenders faced off in their second presidential debate... and it was every bit at combative as expected. from interuptions to accusations... it's a wonder they even got to some of the political issues. now the big question is "what's going to happen here in las vegas... next wednesday... when the candidates take the floor at u-n- l-v. fox 5's kathleen jacob joins us now after hearing reaction to last night's debate and what people hope to see next week. kathleen? john, christine.. i heard opinions across the board today... but the consensus i gathered is that people want to hear more about the issues and less about the

personal lives... now will that happen? most people seem to think no. reporter: you watched the debate last night right? yes i did, it was interesting... pretty much they were all ganging up on trump. i wish they'd get more off the personal issues with each other and start talking about what they're gonna do for the country. quit mud slinging one another about the past and all of that, what can you do for the country? i think that he spoke out too much and tried to jump on her the whole time and i don't like hillary at all and she was so measured that i don't believe a word she says. whether you're a trump supporter... goin clinton... or undecided... there's one thing most of us can agree on. i hope it's not gonna be like the first one. i wish they'd get to the point of what they're gonna do and stop attacking each other. ((nat bite of them arguing)) but the people of las vegas... aren't expecting much change when the candidates take the floor here next week. they're gonna do the same thing. that's who they are. (nat's them fighting)) one is unruly and the other is too practised. i think the same the same thing's gonna happen pretty much as far as the debate goes. the questions seem all about the same, it's not even relevent to the real issues that are going on in

real issues... undecided voters need answers too. reporter: these debates are supposed to help sway people like you that are undecided, what can both sides do to get you on their side? well, first of all, if you make promises you better do the promise. i think that trump is gonna have to be much more measured and stay on topic and i don't know hillary, she just is so practised. and although most don't think it's possible... a city can dream. as far as right now, i hope that everything changes, for the better of course. i hope that both parties stay as professional as possible (nat's them shaking hands at the end)) let's do it right this time, let's act like two adults, not two high school children, or even sixth grade children (laughs) and let's be serious about this. next wednesday's debate at unlv will be formatted exactly like the first debate... so not the town hall style like last night... but where the moderator decides on the questions and regulates the conversation. the debate will be moderated by fox new's chris wallace. it starts next

throwing dozens in the water! the chaotic scene that had good samaritans stepping in to help. trump's taj mahal in the atlantic city shut down this morning. and hundreds of protestors were there to see the casino doors close. i'm one of the lucky ones. i had breast cancer, but they caught it in time. for that kind of screening and care. so i'll never understand politicians like congressman heck, who tried to defund planned parenthood. he was even willing to shut down the government over it. heck was opposed to roe v. wade and tried to criminalize abortion. that's just shameful, it's just wrong, it doesn't help anybody. congressman heck does not share my values.

ray steiber: i was in charge of homicide. i know when something's not right. the attacks on question 1 are wrong. question 1 protects the right of law abiding nevadans to bear arms. carry. hunt. protection. it's all there. doesn't change. and no one goes to jail for swapping guns while hunting or at the shooting range. what changes is convicted felons can't run to a gun show or go online and buy guns without background checks. yes on 1. case closed. how tall are you? how do we measure greatness in america? the height of our skyscrapers? the size of our bank accounts? no. it's measured by what we do for our children. the values we pass on. i've spent my life fighting for kids and families and it will be my mission to build a country

that means good schools for every child in every zip code. college that leads to opportunities... not debt. and an economy where every young american can find a job that lets them start a family of their own. we face big challenges, but we can solve them the same way families do. working together. respecting one another. and never giving up. i want our success to be measured by theirs. n and i approve this message. there's the nevada way. work hard. play by the rules. pay your taxes. and then there's the danny tarkanian way. penalized for failing to pay thousands in property taxes. ordered by a judge to repay $17 million in a failed development scheme. worse, tarkanian refused to pay it back, sticking taxpayers with the bill.
