who we now know is a professor at unlv's william s boyd school of law. her name is dr leslie griffin... and she was taken to sunrise hospital in critical condition. police say the attack happened around four in the afternoon last friday. witnesses say "michael mattingly" kicked and beat griffin... then tried to carjack a woman trying to intervene. police are still trying to figure out which students were involved in a massive brawl between arbor view and centennial students. the high school students got in a fight after a football game at two restaurants. one girl was seriously injured. security was increased at centennial high school, after rumors started about more fights happening. a carjacking in a henderson neighborhood is caught on video-- thanks to security cameras. it happened last night as the victim was going home near valle verde and warm springs. she says the man put a gun in her face and asked how much she values her life. she threw her keys.. and then ran after the suspect as he went to retrieve them. the victim is okay...

car-- a gray nissan rogue. neighbors say crimes like these are very uncommon in the area. mos says: "they were saying derogatory remarks, saying hateful things against our people, against the native american people." police say one woman was hospitalized and is expected to be okay. four others were treated at the scene. officials say the driver stopped a few blocks away and called police. the driver is said to be cooperating in the investigation. the headline of that story was a reminder of the deadly strip crash that happened last december. dozens of people were run over duri incident. the driver, lakeisha holloway, faced 71 charges... but did not go to trial. a judge ordered her to a state health facility back in march. maricopa county sheriff joe arpaio will face a criminal contempt charge in a racial profiling case. the department of justice says they are investigating claims that sheriff arpaio concealed evidence... a u-s district judge asked for an order to show cause that will be due by wednesday... that will serve as a charging document for the case to go forward.
