this on camera. a freshman girl... body slammed to the ground... not from another student but from one of the administrators. she was thrown like a rugrat then he got on top of her and layed there and pressed her face after it already hit the concrete. mom sent us these pictures... the damage to her little girl's face... and she says shes pressing charges. she is not no animal. she is my child. that's not the way you do things. she says her daughter also injured her back. shes doing okay... but the embarrassment is almost just as bad... because the administrator went too far. somebody at the kids at the school look up to. somebody that the kids at the school should be able to run to, to talk to, to explain things to. when kids see the video... theyre just as shocked. that's horrible man. i think they're showing the kids that's a bad example because he didn't have to do all that.

took a break from their special session today. they've been discussing the future of the nfl stadium here in las vegas. fox5 sports director kevin bolinger has been following the special session in carson city. he shows us what was done today, and what we can expect tomorrow. it's been a quiet day here on the capitol grounds as lawmakers are off for the jewish holiday. but there was still a lot of work being done behind the scenes to get ready for the gavel to drop again with the ultimate goal of ending up in this building behind me, the state capitol, and inside the governor's office so he can potentially sign senate bill 1 and assembly bill 1 into law. nats of senate vote when the state senate passed the stadium and convention center bill early tuesday evening th legislature went into recess. but many assembly lawmakers spent the off day laying the groundwork with meetings and work sessions to hit the ground running. derek armstrong/r assemblyman: i'm sure there will be working groups with different legislators to work on different issues of the bill. michele fiore/(r)

jim childs: one of the ways criminals avoid background checks is by going online and connecting with strangers to buy guns. as someone in law enforcement, i think that's dangerous. millions of guns are sold through websites like this, most with no background checks, no questions asked. the law requires background checks in gun stores; why don't we require them online? a few clicks of the mouse, now a bad guy is armed - and potentially dangerous. and that's a threat to all of us.
