the little girl is four years old and thankfully she's stable but police say the gun was left unattended in a room where the kids were playing. 0-7 alice woolbright: that hurt my heart, im still dizzy, i couldnt believe what all i was seeing the police flying by i knew it was something. alice woolbright has lived on this street for 17 years and says she's never seen anything like it. 16-19 alice woolbright: nothing happened like this. i just cant believe this happened on studio street. girl got her hands on a gun and pulled the trigger. her mom and dad were in the home when it happened. 27-33 lt grant we kno w the bullet entered somewhere near the victims chin and throat area but i dont know entry and exit points her family - visibly shaken. neighbors like woolbright asking one question... alice woolbright: why was the kid able to get a gun? guns should be locked up. because kids think guns are toys.

the same thing and they say its too early to say where the gun was stored or who it belonged to. alice woolbright: its sad, i feel for the baby. cases like this- however are rare in the silver state. a study released last week on accidental shootings involving children showed that nevada ranked near the bottom. the study found three cases in a two and a half year span. rogers: this is a very preventable thing that occurred its a tragedy lt rogers with metro says the police department offers a number of classes on gun safety. one of the first things they teach... rogers: if you have a save or a gun locker, or simple ways of storing a weapon, its really key for any gun owners out there. three other kids were also in the house when it happened but theyre ok. the house when it happened but theyre ok. the little girl is expected to recover.

murder. he's accused of killing a woman and injuring her husband... after he shot at them... while they were driving. police were later called to a c-v-s off windmill... where they say the suspect tried to sexually assault a woman. police say more charges are expected... because of the multiple crime scenes. metro police held a public forum today on animal cruelty prevention. detectives work with animal control and the animalou to investigate animal abuse cases. metro says that one hundred percent of sexual homicide offenders... had a history of animal cruelty. and forty percent of animal abusers have committed violent crimes against a person... with animal abuse starting at a young age. if we don't investigate these crimes and we just ignore them, these people, have the potential to grow up and become our future serial killers, so we've got to start when they're young. police are still looking for the

officials say someone threw a flammable substance... into the party's office in hillsborough. the fire caused damage inside the building... before the flames went out. a message that compares republicans to nazis... was spray-painted on a nearby building. a state g-o-p official says the firebombing was meant to send a message. (dallas woodhouse, exec. director, state republican party): "it is meant to scare and intimidate people from volunteering, from working at this office and from working at other offices across the state. but going to take the necessary precautions to do whatever it takes to keep our people safe and keep them working." trump tweeted that quote "animals representing hillary clinton" are behind the attack. clinton's campaign called the attack horrific and said it's grateful th everyone is safe. investigators are looking into the incident. a new federal ban may prevent you from boarding your next flight.
