camera footage released this afternoon-- showing a robbery suspect who police pinned on the 215... shot and killed after they say he pointed what appeared to be a fake gun. four different angles of the shooting were recorded. fox5's kathleen jacob joins us live after going through all of the video and talking to police. kathleen? the video shows four officers shoot 36 rounds total at 50-year- old rex wilson...after a high speed chase and multiple attempts to stop his car. after they block

"get out!" gun shots "down! down!" police say 50- year-old-- rex wilson-- pulled out what they year-old-- rex wilson-- pulled out what they thought to be a hand gun and then as a result... started shooting. it turns out... wilson was actually holding a spray nozzle wrapped in black tape to look like a gun. wilson was linked to 16 armed robberies... believed to have all been done with the fake gun. the four officers involved in the shooting are on routine paid administrative leave. officers went after wilson after someone reported a suspicious car and they linked it to one that had been stolen at gun point in henderson. they also linked him to a recent crime spree involving 16 armed robberies. other than that he had a very minor criminal history... so they're not sure
