neighbors... those neighbors tell me this used to be a boarding stable for horses but all thats left is this sign that says 21 horses and 39 chickens were confiscated i talked to police about this situation and they say that specialists encountered conditions consistent with animal cruelty. specifically -they said that the conditions at the property could likely cause sickness, injury or death to the animals. we talked with a neighbor today who is friends with the family that owns the property ..he says the stable has been around for decades and was recently handed down from the owner to his son after he passed away "to me it just seems like their nit picking and their trying to justify what they did today because there is some stuff around the corners of the property ...and i didn't have a

who you just heard from said he used to keep his horse at this stable and was happy with the care. he described it as a self serve facility where the owners had a key and would come in and take care of their animals. mosley says that the owner would come in three times a week to over see things the animals are with the animal foundation... no arrests have been made. new at six tonight. two women face felony charges of malicious torture after more than

found in unsanitary conditions at their non-profit sanctuary. that's according to the "las vegas review journal". donna riner and dawn spoolman were operating desert rescue animal sanctuary out of their cold creek home for several years. officials found cages with a coyote... rabbits... rats... and pigeons. there were also dogs in crates... and a fox's paw caught in chicken wire. the arrest warrant says more than a hundred animals had to be euthanized after medical examinations. both women face three felony counts and two dozen misdemeanor violations. the case goes to court in december. investigators tell us at least eight people were caught on a hidden camera, naked, while in a house they rented online. now the man accused of setting up hidden spy cameras around the house... is facing criminal charges. fox5's adam herbets is live outside the home... on warm springs and pecos to tell us what happened. people are still living here. you can see there

but the good news is -- police say -- they've taken all the secret inside cameras out of here. from the outside -- this looks like a beautiful house... and on the inside -- it's even better. that's why so many people have decided this is where they want visit las vegas. the only problem is -- they didn't know about all of the cameras. oh yeah! the house is really nice actually. i didn't see any trouble at all. i gave a good review but i never thought about something like this, definitely. he gave a good review because he thought the owner was professional... but now -- christopher rogers is facing some serious crimes... because of hidden cameras found inside the smoke detectors. quote: "this camera was pointing directly towards the

"the dvr was connected and recording from all six hidden cameras inside the house" oh man. okay. that is really really bad. they shouldn't do that. definitely not appropriate. fortunately i was not staying with my family... i have children. i have a daughter and son. this man, who was visiting from santa clara, says he remembers the smoke detectors... but he didn't think anything of it. that's because, unlike the person who turned in rogers, he didn't notice a flashing red light. we never never thought about that. somebody is some kind of a sick person they deserve a punishment for sure. according to police reports, at least four men and four women were caught on camera -- naked and exposed. most of them found out about the rental online... and now, there are still people renting this place out. oh man. (nervous laughter) that makes me more scared. according to police reports -- they actually saw

carrying a step ladder -- and adjusting the cameras to make sure it's pointing in certain locations... like the bedroom... the shower... the toilets... he's facing eight gross misdemeanor charges... and right now, he is not behind bars. live in las vegas, adam herbets, fox 5 news. no doctor has been arrested again -- on more lewdness charges with several patients. take a look... this is jorge burgos. this arrest -- stems from his initial arrest--- and an investigation involving open and gross lewdness with multiple patients. it happened at his office on lake mead near civic center. police say more victims have come forward since his first arrest. police say there could still be more victims out there. if you have any information you are asked to call north las vegas police or

a moped rider is killed in a crash after police say he ran a red light. it happened around five this morning -- near flamingo and valley view. police say a mazda crashed into the moped while making a left turn. the 48-year-old rider was not wearing a helmet. he was taken to u-m-c where he later died. metro says the mazda driver did not see the moped until it was too late... and is struggling emotionally after the crash. "the driver of our vehicle pulled over here, stopped, remained on scene for police. is not impaired, cooperating, answering our questions, was going to work, visibly shaken, upset about what happened out here. " metro says the department starts seeing more crashes around this time of year because more people are out enjoying the nicer weather. about five hours later... two people on a moped were taken to the hospital after a crash. this happened near lamb and and stewart.

the only vehicle involved in the crash. police say a man and woman were taken to sunrise hospital. the woman suffered critical injuries. no word yet on if speed... alcohol... or drugs played a factor. let's talk about the weather. there's going to some nice temperatures this weekend. and -- many halloween celebrations will be taking place. let's check in with fox five's chief meteorlogist ted pretty. he's live at the fall fest in southern highlands at goett closed captioning

many people across the country could not access several popular websites like twitter... netlifx... and amazon. it happened because of a massive cyber attack. investigators are calling these outages a "denial of service attack." it means a hacker overwhelmed these websites with so much traffic... that normal services were interupted. the cyber attack affected more people on the east coast. it impaired service on twitter... netlifx... amazon... reddit... paypal... and spotify. lawmakers are speaking out about the dangers of these attacks. "what we do know is this malware can live on your system for a year or much longer before it is detected. and that is how you've had some of these extensive data

the malware gets into the system. it rests there. it is pulling information and, at some point, it activates, and as i tell my constituents, be careful what websites you go to. be careful what e- mails you open because you may be unintendedly inviting that malware or spyware into your system." it's not clear who is behind the attack or why. the affected companies used twitter to post updates with customers... once the social network was back online. d-y-n confirmed the attack and says all sites should be back to normal now. you can start casting your ballot for the next president... ahead of election day. early voting starts tomorrow in nevada! you can vote at any early voting site before november 8-th. but on election day -- you'll have to go to your designated polling place. early voting runs through november fourth. we have a list of all those sites on fox five vegas dot com. it's under the links section.

story this election season! a wisconsin woman may be charged with disorderly conduct for smearing peanut butter on cars. this is christina ferguson. police say she smeared peanut butter on more than 30 cars she believed belong to trump supporters. but -- it was actually a meeting between a conservation group. you can see the pictures of the peanut better on car handles and mirrors. police say ferguson appeared intoxicated... and yelled during the meeting that she hated donald trump. she was asked to leave... and one of the group members saw her outside smearing the peanut butter. ferguson also wrote profanity across the windshield. police say she is free on bond. back here in the valley... it doesn't really feel like fall yet -- with the warm temperatures... and that might be a good thing! las vegas tops the list for the best warm destinations for winter travel. that's according to a study by the

the park's construction is finished in december. hundreds of volunteers have been working hard this week for "make a difference day" tomorrow. employees from m-g-m resorts packed healthy meals for kids in the "kids cafe" at three square food bank. they've been working thousands of volunteers hours ahead of a national day of service tomorrow. workers will also donate their time at several local non-profits during the annual celebration.
