live from las vegas it's time for fox5 news at 11. downtown las vegas looked more colorful tonight... as thousands marched in the annual pride parade. we'll hear their message to the community. and... dozens of horses and birds seized from a property... near north las vegas airport. what conditions the animals were living in. closed caption will resume shortly but first -- we start with breaking news. a man shoots his ex's new boyfriend during a confrontation. that's according

here's a live look at the scene right now -- near convention center drive and paradise. the shooting happened in a shopping plaza just after 9-30 p-m. police say one person is in custody. one victim has non life-threatening injuries. there are no closures in the area right now. the pride parade took over downtown las vegas tonight. for the first time -- metro police will be escorting the l-g-b-t community. fox five's abby theodros is live near fourth and bridger with more on the festivities. started at 8 tonight and more than 100 community groups took part in that two mile walk

part in the parade this year and you can celebrate all weekend. the events go through sunday. coming off their big win in hawaii last week - the unlv football team is back home for a huge game against colorado state. a rebel win tomorrow would change the complexion for the rest of this season. fox 5 sports director kevin bolinger joins us live from sam boyd st reasons why and a preview. a win here is huge...that would be number four...surpassing last year's win total with four games to go......but it also puts a bowl game within reach....they need six to do that. call it a swing game, a big game...whatever you want....this is one the rebels

music/nats colorado state has had a roller coaster season with losses where they were physically pushed around by colorado and wyoming. they made a switch at quarterback from junior nick stevens to freshman collin hill but hill tore his acl and stevens is back at the controls. ram running back dalyn dawkins has the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and c-s-u will try to get him in space. but unlv head coach tony sanchez expects this to be a battle of rushing attacks. tony sanchez: they're a good solid football team. they want to run the football. i think that's something that they'll consistently try to do. we've been pretty good against pro style run teams so i expect us to do a good job there. i think both teams are going to be challenged to put the ball inthe air to make differences. the rebels are going for back to back wins in the conference for the first time since 2013. last saturday - unlv

and birds were removed from a property near the north las vegas airport. it's part of an animal cruelty investigio officials say the living conditions at the boarding stable were unsanitary and could cause infections or disease. earlier today -- fox5's abby theodros talked to neighbors on both sides of the situation. the sun is setting on this boarding stable for horses debbie: its just so sad im sorry after allegations of animal cruelty. debbie linihan: theyre all gone. its empty. theyre all gone. these horses. these people paid for these horses. i mean they paid their money for their hay and everything. 21 horses and 43

property. police tell us the animals were living in conditions that could cause sickness injury or death. debbie linihan: nice horses here. these people took a lot of pride in them. debbie linihan housed her two horses on the property for three years and says the allegations dont add up. abby: what do you think happened? what do you think went wrong? linihan:maybe its messy. the area is messy. i dont think control though, i would think that would be agriculture. other neighbors who didnt want to go on camera say the people who used the stables took care of their horses. the problem is that the county's been asking the property owner to bring the facility up to code for years - but its been a struggle. anothony mosely knows the family owns the space - he says the stable has been around for decades and was recently passed down from the owner to his son after he passed away anthony mosely: hagan was like a pillar in this community and his son inherited this and didnt give it the love and attention his dad used to give it.

to the owner of the property for comment but he was unavailable. two women face felony charges of malicious torture after more than 400 animals were found in unsanitary conditions at their non-profit sanctuary. that's according to the "las vegas review journal". donna riner and dawn spoolman were operating desert rescue animal sanctuary out of their cold creek home. officials found cages and crates with a coyote... dogs... rabbits... rats... and pigeons. the arrest warrant says more than a hundred animals had to be euthanized after medical examinations. both women face three felony counts and two dozen misdemeanor violations. the case goes to court in december. a man is accused of secretly recording people naked with hidden cameras inside a home he rented out. police say officers found video of christopher rogers on a step

adjusting cameras towards private areas like toilets... showers... and bedrooms. they were hidden in the smoke detectors. it happened at a home near warm spring and pecos. the d-v-r was connected and recording from all six hidden cameras inside the house. at least eight people were caught on them. rogers faces eight gross misdemeanor charges. a north las vegas doctor has been arrested on lewdness charges -- again. this is jorge burgos. this arrest -- stems from his initial arrest--- after an investigation involving open and gross lewdness with multiple patients. it happened at his office on lake mead near civic center. police say more victims have come forward since his first arrest. police say there could still be more victims out there. if you have any information you are asked to call north las vegas police or crimestoppers at 702-385-55-55. order up! cracker barrel is bringing some more southern hospitality to the valley.
