kunzer murphy is stepping down from her role... to take on a new position with the university. kunzer-murphy has led the university's athletic department since 2013... where she started in an interim role. she oversaw the hiring of football coach tony sanchez and basketball coach marvin menzies. facilities were also upgraded and athletes improved academically under her lead. kunzer-murphy's contract expires in december, but she will stay on until june 2017. she plans to take on a fundraising role with the unlv

we now know 28- year-old rayvon solomon is the man that was killed this weekend over what police are calling a love triangle. police say 33- year-old steven lewis shot and killed soloman near jones and washington. fox5's kathleen jacob is live where this happened after talking to neighbors and reaching out to the victim's family. kathleen... what did neighbors have to say? guys... many of them didn't want to go on camera... but one woman who just had security cameras installed at her stumbling down this sidewalk and collapsing... and the suspect taking off that way. they also told me the suspect lived in this house with the woman... and the victim was a visitor. it's something that has the whole neighborhood confused.. and sad. it was a lover's quarrel or a triangle and you know these days you don't know, everybody's so volitile these days. loida estrada's grandaughter woke up to police lights early saturday morning.

like what is what? she's starting to scare me. she goes what is that? when she walked outside... she saw this entire street taped off and at least 8 police cars lining the road. they had a gentleman handcuffed across the street about three houses down. that man is 33- year-old steven lewis. police say he shot and killed 28-year- old rayvon solomon after confronting him and his live in girlfriend at a restaurant.. and then meeting them back here where they got into an according to police... both men were dating the woman. police say lewis shot solomon several times... a neighbor who didn't want to release the video says her security cameras captured solomon stumble onto this sidewalk and collapse. lewis took off down the road... but eventually came back to the scene where police arrested him. solomon was taken to the hospital where he later died from a gunshot wound to the chest. family tells us... he leaves behind children, brothers and sisters, and a grieving mother. i'm really sorry something like this

responsible for her injuries. he is also accused of trying to carjack a woman who stopped to help griffin. police are still searching for the suspect in a deadly hit-and-run crash on the i-15 this weekend. now people close to the victim are calling on the public to help. fox5's eric hilt spoke with friends of the victim and with n-h-p and has more on what they want drivers to look for... nhp told me they still don't have a good description of the suspects car in the hit and run that happened here on the 15 this weekend -- only that it is a van and tan or off-white. troopers say that van sideswiped the victims toyota camry -- sending the camry crashing into the median -- then the van drove off. the driver of the camry -- 46-year- old bobby pierce -- was killed in the crash. a family friend

the crash was yesterday morning near palm springs. investigators say a "u-s-a holiday tour bus" rammed into the back of a big rig. there were 44 passengers on board... and those who weren't killed suffered serious injuries. traffic was backed up for several miles. the bus passed its last three inspections, including one in april.
