almost a month after being stabbed in the neck while showing a house..... and spending two weeks in a coma.... one local realtor has returned home and is now healing..... fox-5's vince sapienza spoke with the real estate agent.... and is in the newsroom with more.... john... cyndi....

week now... spending more than two weeks at the hospital... most of which.. as you said.. while in a coma.... vega tells me he's been in real estate for eight years... and never experienced anything close to what happened last month.... it was a friday night... and ryan says he had just sold a north las vegas house.... he walked out of the house....to head home.... when the son.. of one of the tenants.. asked him to come back in because he had a few more questions.... when ryan vega walked inside.. the suspect.. daniel mora... turned him around.. and took a butcher knife to ryan's neck.... stabbing him twice.. "knocked me down, pulled the knife out, knife fell on the ground, he picked the knife up again, and he was going to go for the kill, and fortunately the mother and father that were there, knocked him to the ground. i just think he was trying to stop the sale, is all it was, he's not a long time enemy, i'm not even worried about him coming after me after all this." now this is the suspect... 36 year old daniel mora.... he was booked for battery with a

and ob now ryan tells me he has forgiven mora.... but also says one of the biggest reasons for re- living and talking about that night.. is to make sure the full story is known.... and that he believes this was a pre-meditated plot on his life.... he tells me as of this afternoon he had still not spoken with police as to what happened... the first court appearance for daniel mora is next week... vega tell's fox-5 he plans to be there... a unlv professor attacked while she was jogging earlier this month... has been upgraded to fair condition. leslie griffin is a professor at the william -s-boyd school of law. she was beaten on october 7th... near paseo verde and desert shadow trail in henderson. police say 23- year-old michael mattingly was responsible for her injuries. he is also accused of trying to carjack a woman who stopped to help griffin. the rain may have

morning. the crash happened just after five this morning on i-15 near the 95. troopers say it's common to see this kind of crash when the roads are wet. it snarled traffic... closing all of the northbound lanes while crews cleaned up spilled diesel fuel. and a man died in that same area about an hour later-- when he crashed into an unoccupied truck in the median shoulder of i-15 southbound near charleston. the 80-year-old driver died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. troopers said he may have had a medical episode prior to the wreck. friends of the man killed in a weekend hit and run are asking for your help... the deadly crash happened on the i- 15 and n-h-p is still searching for the suspect who took off. fox5's eric hilt talked with people who knew the victim and --- nhp told me they still don't have a good description of the suspects car in the hit and run that happened here on the 15 this weekend -- only that it is a van and tan or off-white.

just one of total shock" shock -- after a hit and run crash killed frank hall's friend "he was a wonderful friend, more than that a wonderful husband and father to his two teenage children" nhp troopers say on saturday, 46 year old bobby pierce was driving north on the i-15 in a toyota camry with his wife jennifer. nhp says a van sideswiped the camry -- sending it spinning across into the median. jennifer was injured in the crash and taken to umc...bobby was pronounced dead at the scene. "he's going to be sorely missed by everybody, he was an asset to the community" while friends are mourning -- nhp is still searching for the driver of the other car -- who took off after the crash. "we know that we're looking for a van, possibly tan or light brown in color, it will have some damage to it, possibly left side, left rear is what we're looking at"

-- both n-h-p and pierce's friends are asking the community to help find the suspect in this deadly hit and run "we know there's got to be dozens if not hundreds of vehicles just in that area of the roadway commuting through that busy section of the i15 at that time...we need your help, the family needs justice investigation so we urge people to call, p lease if you know anything give us a call" "turn them in right away. this is not the type of person that you want on the streets" the crash may have been picked up by traffic cameras, but nhp says that wont help them track down the suspect in this case because those cameras aren't always recording. that's why troopers say they need the community to help them find out what happened in this deadly crash. soc

u-n-l-v's athletic director tina kunzer murphy will vacate her position... and transition to a new role with the university. kunzer-murphy's contract expires in december, but she will stay on until june 2017. in july, she will take on a new role fundraising with the unlv foundation. kunzer-murphy has led the university's athletic department since 2013... where she started in an interim role. she oversaw the hiring of foot sanchez and basketball coach marvin menzies. facilities were also upgraded and athletes improved academically under her lead. the las vegas review journal has become the first major newspaper to endorse donald trump. the r-j says it believes the republican nominee is america's answer to the "frustration and disillusionment with the political institutions that govern our nation." trump later tweeted a "thank- you" to the newspaper. a new poll shows hillary clinton

a new cnn/orc poll shows clinton tops trump 49 percent to 44 percent among likely voters... three percent of voters back libertarian gary johnson and 2 percent are supporting green party nominee jill stein. with all three presidential debates now in the rear view mirror, both candidates appear to have consolidated some support among their core supporters. clinton has expanded her edge among younger voters and non- whites, trump is seeing a boost among the whites without college degrees who make up the majority of his supp the result's for the first weekend of early voting in clark county are in. it looks like nevada democrats outpaced the republicans by nearly 18 thousand voters out at the polls. more than 70 thousands people cast their ballots on saturday and sunday. clark county reports that saturday's turnout broke the record for first day voting in southern nevada. you can find a link to all the early voting sites in clark county on our website and our app. early voting ends november 4-th. winter is coming. a look at the

warner have announced one of the largest mergers the media industry has ever seen. the two companies said saturday they had agreed to a tie-up worth 85-billion dollars. a-t-and-t's business is traditionally based on wireless and internet service. but the merger would allow the company to expand into programming, and gain access to time warner's channels such as cnn, tnt and hbo. the deal needs to be appve government regulators, which could take more than a year to complete. let's go inside the law now-- our legal analyst bob massi is here to tell us what this means to you and me.

disgraced subway pitchman jared fogle is suing the sandwich chain. her lawsuit claims top executives knew of his pedophilia as early as 2004 and should have notified authorities. katie mclaughlin divorced fogle after he pleaded guilty last year to federal charges of child pornography and having sex with minors. at a press conference today,

finding out her husband was a child predator was "beyond comprehension." she got emotional after apologizing to fogle's victims and said she was filing the suit to get answers about what subway knew and when its executives knew it. she said it was devastating to find out subway knew about his behavior, but still started a campaign that sent him into elementary schools. "i filed this lawsuit today because i have questions. questions some day that my children will ask me. and that i imagine the families of the 14 victims are asking. questions to which i have no other way to get answers." subway did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the suit. a new survey shows the scandal surrounding wells fargo is affecting its reputation. a management consulting firm conducted a survey of 15- hundred bank customers last week. it comes in the wake of the outrage after it was revealed the bank created as many as two million fake bank and credit card accounts between 2011 and 2015.

us for your only local news at 5:30. ten years after the pentagon enticed soldiers to reenlist by offering hefty bonuses, officials are demanding thousands of those veterans pay the money back. a federal investigation found enlistment officers committed fraud after a 2006 campaign to reenlist military members with incentive bonuses. in california, the fbi went after a master sergeant who pleaded guilty to submitting false and fictitious claims on behalf of her fellow california national guard members.

added up to 15- point-2 million dollars in illegal payouts and loan repayments to california national guardsmen. the california national guard shares the frustration - but says it does not have the authority to waive the debts. california congressman adam schiff today told cnn he has already written to the head of the california national guard asking that any attempts to re- claim soldiers' bonus money be stopped until he and congress can work out a solution. today we know more about a tour bus collision in california that killed 13 people and injured 31- others. authorities say the tour bus was returning from a casino... when it slammed into the rear of a tractor-trailer near palm springs sunday. investigators have not said how fast the bus was going... but they say its speed was so significant... that when it hit the big rig... the truck's trailer went about 15-feet into the bus. today-- officials identified 12-of the 13-victims... including the bus driver-- who was also the tour bus owner. both presidential candidates are
