believed daniel mora planned the attack... but that it wasn't personal-- he just didn't want his parents to sell the house. mora is scheduled to be in court next week... the unlv law professor who was attacked while jogging earlier this month is improving... leslie griffin now in fair condition. police say on october seventh... griffin was randomly attacked-- in broad daylight-- while jogging in henderson near paseo verde and desert shadow trail . michael mattingly was arrested -- he is facing numerous charges... police say attack, he also atried to carjack another woman who stopped to help griffin. mattingly is due back court next wednesday. in clark county, early voters are heading to the polls in record numbers. faith tanner is live at an early voting location near charelston and nellis. after talking to people about why they chose not to wait until election day. latest numbers for voter turnout for today 32,500 today as of 6 p.m.

"turn him in. turn him in right away. this is not the kind of man that you want on the streets."

"bobby pierce's" camry... sending it spinning into the median of the highway. pierce was pronounced dead at the scene. his wife who was also in the car suffered injuries and is currently in the hospital. n-h-p says the van that hit him was either tan or off-white. if you have any information about the crash they urge you to notify police immediately. u-n-l-v's athletic director "tina kunzer-murphy" has extended her contract with the university... but only till the end of the school year .. after that she will move into a new position. starting nt july... kunzer- murphy's role will focus on fundraising with the u-n-l-v foundation.. and the university wil hire a new athletic director. unlv says its atletics department has seen many improvements under tina's leadership. kunzer-murphy told us she is looking forward to her new position. fox5 has new details on a love triangle-- turned deadly. we now know 28- year-old- "rayvon solomon"--was killed this past weekend. police say he was shot multiple times by 33-year- old "steven lewis." investigators tell us the two men were both involved in a romance with the same woman. early saturday morning-- solomon followed lewis and the woman to the home where they lived-- near jones and washington. a neighbor says her security cameras captured solomon stume and collapse. while lewis took off... he eventually came back to the scene where police arrested him. "i went in to the living room and i saw the lights above the front door and they were police lights." "in this area it's really quiet so i was really surprised that something like that happened." we also spoke to rayvon's family members. they tell us he was visiting las vegas from chicago. lewis is in custody for one count of murder with a

early voting sites near you just head to our website fox 5 vegas dot com. according to the newest -n-n/o-r-c poll -- it is still a tight race.... but hillary clinton is leading donald trump by five points... she's caputres 49 percents while trump is holding at 44 percent... libertarian gary johnson is at three percent. police are looking for potential victims who may have been unknowingly been caught on camera at a vacation rental... now the homeowner is facing a grand jury indictment. christopher rogers owns the home near pecos and warm springs that was advertised on multiple websites as a vacation rental. police say in january--- a renter found hidden cameras in the smoke detectors in several rooms of the home. police investigated and rogers was arrested in june. he's now facing a grand jury indictment on five counts of capturing an image of the private area of another. police are now looking for other possible victims. anyone with more information should call police or crimestoppers

the trial for the former strip illusionist-- facing federal child pornography charges.... has been pushed back again. the attorney for jan roven said he is still busy collecting information on the case. prosecutors say more than 35 hundred videos and images of young children were found on computers at his home. rouven has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. he faces the possibility of decades in prison and up to one million dollars in fines. the ex-wife of the former subway pitchman--- is now suing the sandwich chain. katie mclaughlin divorced jared fogle after he pleaded guilty last year to federal charges of child pornography and having sex with minors. her lawsuit claims top executives knew of his pedophilia as early as 2004 and should have notified authorities. mclaughlin said today during a press conference-- finding out her husband was a child predator was "beyond comprehension."

who have been monitoring her pregnancy with frequent ultrasounds, regular screenings, and check-ups. right now her baby girl's head is developing normally... the american academy of pediatrics say infants should sleep in the same room as parents through their first year-- or at the very least- six months. the new report--- says it can reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome, known as sids, by as much as 50-percent. the academy recommends children sleep on their backs and on a separate surface within the same room, such bassinet. but never on a soft surface, armchair or couch. an estimated 35- hundred babies die from sids and other sleep- related complications in the united states each year. it's the matchup baseball fans have been waiting for--- for a really long time. but they will have to pay up to see the action in- person. the chicago cubs and the cleveland indians are headed to the world series. the cubs haven't won since 1908-- and the indians last won in 1948.
