exclusive -- the clark county school district is refusing to enforce a restraining order between students... even though some of those students say they have been getting serious death threats. fox5's adam herbets spoke to the school district... and the family at escubedo middle school. he joins us now with what he found out. adam? john/ christine we're not going to put the name of the girl out there... but we have a copy of the restraining order against her... and it says specifically in here... that she's not allowed to be anywhere on campus... or within 100 feet of the three girls who filed it. we asked the school district why they're ignoring it -- and they say, it's not their job. (nats) just like a lot of middle school drama it all started because of a fight over a boy... (nats) beeeep. emily and joselyn blackwood and jade phillips please report to the dean's office. name calling... pushing... shoving... spreading rumors... but then they say the bullying got worse. she followed them

threats. tomorrow after school i'm going to bring a knife and i'm going to kill you, and i looked at her and i told her she needed to leave. (crying) and i can't take it anymore (gasp) (crying) i feel like i'm going to get hurt :( (gasp) the kids say -- this wasn't just a girl trying to act tough. they think -- with her reputation -- she's actually capable of pulling it off. ... and that's why mom called the police and a judge signed a restraining order... which states the girl isn't allowed on campus. it's sad and i want to help her and don't want to just stand back and watch her get hurt they thought it would help... but mom says it didn't. they say she has every right to be at school. the school district needs to be held accountable for what's going on here. it's one of the worst school districts in the nation. c-c-s-d wouldn't talk on camera, but they told us they don't think it's their job to enforce the restraining order... and now this family is left wondering if they're going to wait for something bad to happen... before they start

it's not their kids lives they're playing russian roulette with. this is my kids. she could come up to us and she could stab us. she can follow us home. she technically knows where we live now! i just feel like they should just follow the rules of the ccsd board. if they're not going to follow it they should not work at that school! so now the school district is saying they're trying to keep the girls apart... but it's actually metro's job to enforce the restraining order... not theirs. so... we called the courthouse... they reiterated to us, it is absolutely the ho responsibility to take action... and that the girl should be suspended. a woman is behind bars... accused of driving under the influence... after a crash that injured a man and killed a woman. both were walking on the sidewalk. the crash happened last night just after 10 near charleston and las vegas boulevard. witnesses say a 2011 toyota camry was headed east on charleston when the car went off the road and onto the sidewalk, hitting both

the driver was identified as 45- year-old andrea corbani. police say she was impaired and arrested for dui resulting in death. in a unique spin to a d-u-i... a texas college student is in trouble with the law after she's caught driving drunk while sexting.... topless. texas police say 19-year-old.... "miranda kay rader" drove her s-u-v into the back of a parked police car. she told the officer she was trying to take a picture of herself to send her boyfriend. police say they found an open bottle of wine in her car... failed field sobriety tests. miranda has since been released on a two thousand dollar bond. indiana authorities released a picture of a woman overdosing in her car -- needle in hand-- as her infant cried in the back seat. authorities said the purpose was to raise awareness about the ongoing heroin epidemic... and show how it's impacting the entire state. lindsey eaton spoke to the woman's mother, who says releasing the picture was a mistake. enforcement is moving in, to remove hundreds of dakota access pipeline protesters. some 2-hundred protesters had set up tents and teepees on private property in support of the standing sioux -- a tribe against the pipeline. the morton county sheriff's office says they began arresting the protesters after giving them a day to leave voluntarily. the 3-billion dollar pipeline is almost complete and passes ro dakota, south dakota and iowa... to illinois. opponents say it threatens the drinking water and cultural evidence of native americans in the region. more than 260 people have reportedly been arrested since demonstrations began in august. a mcdonald's employee in california is being celebrated-- for 30 years on the job. voss says: "very happy." paul voss has worked at the placerville, california mcdonald's since 1986. the menu has changed -- but his
