police are still looking for the person or people who shot and killed a young couple in west las vegas... and now they have a few leads. fox5's adam herbets joins us live from hualapai and peace -- at their apartment complex where it happened. the couple was inside their apartment for a little while before somebody

now the police say there may be two suspects... two men... but other than that they aren't releasing a detailed description. police say their lights and sirens aren't in this spot very often... especially because it's the type of neighborhood... people want to move back to. this was the place that i grew up and i felt the safest. now... officers are looking at clues... trying to figure out who murdered a young couple in their apartment. family and friends identify them as 20-year-old neo kauffman and 21-year-old sydney land. (nats) i found out through my son. i made it home and he told me what happened and it was pretty devastating. my son could have been there with him that day. they're very close friends.

much and i miss her and i hope she's up there watching over everybody at an impromptu vigil, those closest to the couple said neo... was the kind of guy everybody wanted to be around. a good-hearted, kind-hearted kid. his laugh was honestly like contagious now people are wondering... why? i have no clue. like not at all. like this like hit me like a train. sydney...was young woman with a big heart... who would do anything to help people. everybody loved her. she was my best friend. seeing them and then watching them like break down and cry, it really breaks my heart. police say... the evidence they have so far shows it might have been two men who murdered this couple... but it's still early on in this investigation. family members say... they need help getting closure. she's safe now and in a better place and i miss her. you could see just how many people showed up to this vigil last night to remember

police say -- please -- if you know anything about what might have happened, please call crimestoppers. you can remain anonymous. live in las vegas, adam herbets, fox5 news.s a mother and an aunt behind bars today after giving a young girl pain medication... now both are charged with murder. fox5's eric hilt joins us with more on the incident and why doctors say is part of a growing problem... the victim was a nine year old girl who police say was given prescription painkillers that were not prescribed to her. doctors say these incidents where parents give their kids medication without asking a doctor first are becoming more and mroe common. police say in august the child's mom, kendra hatch and the girl's aunt mylynda hatch gave the young girl prescription pain medication to treat an

prescribed to her. this week both were charged with murder. i spoke with a pediatrictian, she told me when it comes to prescriptions -- especially painkillers -- the side effect are more severe for children, so parents need to always check with a doctor first. but unfortunately more and more parents are turning to the internet instead of doctors. "unfortunateuly nowaways, some parents consult 'doctor google' and not everything on the internet is whats best for the children, i do see a lot of this in ch said parents should be very careful in giving any medications to the kids" pediatricians say it's not just prescription medication that parents need to be wary of. doctors say parents should check with doctors or pharmacists before giving kids over the counter drugs like tylenol or advil as well. candidates...surr ogates...and the vice president will be coming to las vegas this weekend. more than three hundred and thirty thousand voters have

a group of guys are getting the ultimate gift from being part of a wedding party... a new puppy! but there was nothing planned about this. check out this picture... these guys were camping in tennessee for a bachelor party. a mother dog approached them while they were grilling food. the guys suspected she recently had puppies... and her den. there were seven puppies... meaning there was one pup per bachelor... including the mom! the guys were more than happy to give each pup and the mom a home. thanks for joining
