today is nevada day! we visited local genius from t-v's "pawn stars"-- mark hall patton"-- for a little silver state pop quiz. a nine-year old girl dead after taking prescription pain killers... now the young girl's mom and aunt are charged with her murder, after police say they gave the girl the medicine even though it was not prescribed to her. fox5's miguel martinez valle spoke to the grandma tonight, she says she was shocked by the death... the grandmas name is desire island, and she hasn't seen 9- year-old ryleigh in 4 years. she tells me ever since ryleighs mom and dad got a divorce, kendra, her mom, has kept the child away from the rest of the family... she tells me for the last 4 years they have been communicating

breaking news tonight at 11... a large fire is burning at lake las vegas.. many people were calling the newsroom about this fire tonight.. smoke and flames could be seen shooting into the sky. here's what we know ... henderson fire department says the fire is in a ravine.. where trash has been dumped. the fire began around 5:30 tonight and is still burning strong. this is in a remote area just north of the westin lake las vegas ... fire crews say it is not threatening any homes or other structures.. some people near the fire say construction crews have been dumping there for a while.
