herbets has been out there on the strip since the beginning. he's live now with an update on the current situation and what set the whole ordeal into motion. well there are two things that we have not been able to find out this entire time we have been on the strip talking about this power outage at the paris casino number one how much money was lost in this 24 hour. obviously it has to be a big chunk of change because they're compensating so many people for what happened here yesterday whether it has to do with their rooms or the things that they lost like plane tickets that i've been left in the room and number two who is the construction company responsible for the power outage at this point all we know is that somebody accidentally drilled into the powerline in the basement yesterday morning that's what sparked all of this and honestly the people said it's a miracle that he's even alive and he survived that accident and really that
5:31 pm
casino was ok to no injuries that's the silverlining in all of this that being said the pr team didn't seem too happy with the construction company i don't know if they're going to be invited back but that's a whole nother story for a nother day at this point they're still just working with every customer that they can sending them to a tip hotline if they still have problems to contact them and then just working on everything on a case-by-case basis heres some video from last night... thats when it was the most obvious that this was the only casino not lighting up the strip. and when the pr people for caesars entertainment actually spoke about all of this today and they didn't seem too happy with the construction company that set off this chain reaction they were working in the basement and honestly what they were trying to do had nothing to do with the power that's why it's so surprising that the power would go out in fact they said just the fact that this worker was able to drill through the powerline and survive is a miracle that being said it certainly causing a lot of money to be lost for this company everybody who stayed here is going to be comped for their room if they needed to get a new plane ticket that's going to be comped by caesars
5:32 pm
comped by caesars and also everybody gets two free nights at this hotel for their trouble that's a lot of lost money but then add in the fact all those other amenities the casino the spa the pool the restaurants that's a big chunk of change four lawsuits are popping up in battleground states--including nevada-- claiming voter intimidation by republicans and the donald trump camapign. a federal judge said thursday he hasn't seen any evidence of voter intimidation here in nevada. and says he didn't see a need for a restraining order sought by democrats. the lawsuit claims that a group called "stop the steal" is conducting exit polls designed to check the accuracy of voting machines. democrats are calling it voter harrassment. the judge said he will hold a hearing tuesday if there are eny reports of voter harrassment at the polls. you only have a few hours left to cast your ballot before election day. early voting wraps up tonight.... and workers say the last day is typically the busiest. this is a live look at galleria mall... where a steady stream of people
