impossible to hide. 24/7 there are people here... there are cameras everywhere... but that didnt stop someone from pulling out a 9mm earlier this morning on top of that bridge and firing shots. take a look at this video from earlier this morning... this is as close as we can get because i mean we arent even allowed to get a camera up there during the day... when there isnt an active crime scene. police told us all three of the men involved were locals... in their twenties. and it all started because of an argument over drugs. then the shooter -- after firing that one shot -- ran into planet hollywood to try and get away. metro says they got here and arrested quickly... it wasnt even 10 minutes... and they say its all because of the cameras they have running in this

this has been an intense election season so far.. and some are worried about safety tomorrow and in the days right after the election. fox5s kathleen jacob joins us live from lorna j. kesterson elementary after talking to police about safety at the polls. kathleen? guys this place is going to be packed tomorrow with voters... but you may also do a few police cars on these streets as well. metro tells me they know it's been a crazy election so they'll have officers rotating throughout all

sun up to sun down tomorrow. they don't have an officer for every location... but they'll keep the cars rolling through just to make sure they have an eye on things and a presence. a couple people i spoke with today are actually nervous about possible uprisings or protests from the losing side in the next few days... so i asked officers if that's on their radar.. and they tell me of course they'll be ready for it but for how calm early voting has been... they don't think we'll see anything major. " all i can do is hope and pray that everyone stays peaceful you know, some are gonna win, some are gonna lose. at this time we have not recieved any intelligence information that we expect any type of disturbance or incident at any polling site here in clark county. " they'll also have eyes on all of their cameras in the fusion center and they'll be ready to respond

our warm november weather is not going anywhere this week. high temperatures this afternoon climbed into the low 80s in las vegas under mostly sunny skies. a few high clouds have been passing across the area; they'll be in and out over the coming days. we'll start out with temperatures in the 50s tuesday morning, so if you're heading out to the polls early on election day, pack the extra layer. for the afternoon we'll see high temperatures well into the low 80s and upper 70s.

through the rest of the week with no rain in the forecast for southern nevada. the freeway was closed for several hours this morning-- after a semi truck hit and killed a 25- year-old woman on the i-15. police say it happened overnight near jean. the woman died at the scene. police tell us the semi-truck did not stop after the impact and continued driving toward california. troopers say they still want to talk to the truck driver even though the victim was at fault for the crash. roads in t are now back open. one person was critically hurt in a crash on the 95. police tell fox5 the crash happened just after 2 a-m on the 95 near the decatur and valley view exit. witnesses say the driver was speeding and reckless before the crash. the car crashed into a median wall. police tell us crews rushed the driver to university medical center in critical condition. they say two passengers are expected to be

expect impairment to be a factor. unlv's student newspaper--the rebel yell-- could be shut down as soon as this month. they need 30 thousand dollars by the end of the month to keep operations running. "we only have enough funding to last this semester, ad revenue is not enough to keep us afloat the university doesn't have enough money lying around to give us. (mariza ruelas/ cited for selling ceviche) "somebody would be like, oh i don't have anything to trade you but i would love to buy a plate, like they'd be off of work."" someone contacted reulas--asking for a plate of her ceviche--one of her signature dishes. according to court documents that person was an undercover investigator from san joaquin county-- on a sting--because the majority of 209 food spot members didn't have permits to sell their food. "(kelly mcdaniel/ deputy district attorney, san joaquin county) "i don't laws, i enforce them. and the legislature has felt that this is a crime." " reulas--along with about a dozen others--were cited for operating a food facility--and engaging in business without permits. she refused to plea down to 3 years probation--so now the single mother of six is headed to trial where she could end up in jail. san joaquin's district attorney says selling any food not subject to health department inspection puts whoever eats it in real danger.

a pilot is rescued after a plane crash in the midwest over the weekend. officials say that plane went down yesterday in wisconsin. they say the pilot was a new flyer-- with less than fifty flying hours under his belt. a family that lives near the crash sight rushed to the scene to offer their help. studzinski says: "they came running over here when they got here the plane was smoking they

after being struck by the same bullet on the strip overnight. police say the men were walking on the pedestrian bridge between the cosmopolitan and planet hollywood. they were approached by a suspect before a fight broke out. police say it happened around 2-15 a-m. that suspect is behind bars-- and the two victims were taken to the hospital. a man drunkenly jumped into the caesars fountain over the weekend-- after he was other side of the las vegas strip. police say it happened around 4-30 sunday. they say the victim got into a fight with two people in front of the linq before he was stabbed. the victim then jumped on a taxi-- and then into the fountain. police say the man was intoxicated and had slash wounds on his chest. he is expected to be okay. one person has died... and another is injured after their a-t-v crashed in the desert. police say the a- t-v flipped sunday afternoon on star hills avenue
