we start fox five news at six with breaking news. two men are wanted for a deadly home- invasion this past weekend. police believe it may have been over drugs. it happened on sandpiper way -- near torrey pines and twain. new surveillance video shows two suspects arriving at the victim's home... going inside... and then a gunshot can be heard. "some silence, then gunshot, then a yell." police say officers found a man's body in the home. the two suspects were seen in a yellow moving truck... which was found by officers around the corner from the home. the truck was reported stolen. anyone with information on these two men should call police or crimestoppers

moaning "what did he say? somebody shot him?" "each of them. but i only heard one gunshot, one gunshot." chaos on the strip when someone opens fire on a pedestrian bridge.. hitting and injuring two men early this morning. police say a shooter on the strip is now behind bars .. tracked down thanks to all of the cameras in the area. fox5's adam herbets has been following this story... and found out crime on the strip has been a little bit more common recently. adam? well really its been two days in a row now. yesterday morning... a little bit further north on the strip... there was a stabbing that shut down las vegas boulevard for almost an hour. they say that was just minor... but then today right up there on that bridge... the police got called out again. take a look. aside from that video sent in by our viewer, this is

could get to that crime scene. police say it started out as a fight... it was a two on one ... and all three of the men involved were locals... in their mid 20s. apparently the fight had something to do with drugs... narcotics. then one of the men pulled out a 9mm... only fired one shot... but that one bullet went through one of the victims and into the other. thats when police say the shooter got out of there... he ran off the bridge... into planet hollywood... he made it all the way to the parking metro already had him in handcuffs in fewer than 10 minutes. "you walk calmly around the streets. dont think this will happen." "one we know they

firearm and two that they're desperate enough to use it. so the odds increase exponentially that it's a likely outcome that we'll have to use deadly force in order to safely take the suspect into custody if they don't comply with commands." for now metro isnt releasing the suspects name... but at some point they will give it to us... and we'll put it out there along with his mugshot. they say he was booked on two counts of attempted murder... and that both of the victims are supposed to be okay. live on the strip adam herbets fox 5 news local las vegas. a clark county election policy coming under fire. on the final day of early voting, polling places stayed open into the night, past their scheduled closing times... but some republican leaders say that practice was unfair. fox5's eric hilt is live with more on those complaints, and why the county says its nothing new.

location stayed open late - and the final early voter cast their ballot here at a polling place at silverado ranch plaza... that ballot was cast at 10;10 - two hours after the early voting location was scheduled to close the decision to let people continue to et and line and vote early after the polling places were scheduled to close came under fire from the nevada chairman and by presidential nominee donald trump - who said the policy showed that the system is rigged. but clark country registrar says its the standard practice and the same rule has been in effect for

parties. neither would comment on the issue today. and voters will have their last chance to head to the polls... but some are worried about how safe those polling places will be... and what it will be like after a winner is announced. metro police say they'll be on high alert during election night. they have officers rotating around each of the 278 polling locations in clark county... and a real time crime center set up tomorrow. "at this time we have not recieved any intelligence information that we expect any type of disturbance or incident at any polling site here in clark county." police say so far this season -- they have not had to make any arrests for disturbances at polling stations. those in need of a ride to the polls tomorrow don't have to worry. uber... lyft... google... zipcar... and maven are offering special discounts or promotions for election day rides. you can request transportation to your polling place

run newspaper -- the rebel yell -- has been around for sixty years... but in less than two months -- it may go out of business. the independent news publication is in need of funding. around four years ago -- the newspaper stopped receiving funding from the student body government... because they wanted to hand- pick the editors. since it was seen as a conflict of interest -- the two cut ties.

been looking for funding ever since. each year -- the newspaper applies for money from the student life funding committee... but every year they receive less and less. students who run the paper tell us removing the program is wrong. "this is where students get to take what they learn in class and apply it to real life setting before they are just thrust out into the world and without that i feel the future journalists here will be at a major disadvantage." "we do it for the experience, and we believe we have a purpose here at unlv." fox five reached out to the university. we received a statement saying they have helped maintain newspaper operations in the past... but have made no final decision on the issue. students were told they need to raise 30-thousand dollars in the next few months. they have put together a go- fund-me page. you can find the link to that on fox five vegas dot com.

now... apparently....their mannequin challenges. yep-- it seems the latest internet craze has people freezing where they stand for an extended period of time-- mannequin style-- it's ridiculous, but i'll allow it-- seeing as how this is election week and i just can't deal anymore. one twitter user's high school captured the fad in particulary impressive fashion with a frozen group pose that extends across virtually the entire campus. even celebs are getting in on the action-- or inaction as it were-- comedian kevin hart and his workou squad busted no moves during a gym workout. and even the pittsburgh steelers froze it up in their locker room. how can doing nothing look so exhausting? fine, let's do an election related thing.... a minneapolis dog spa is getting political by seeing if the candidates pass the smell test-- as doggy-doo bags. the business is selling red and blue poop bags adorned with trump and clinton's images, and cleverly titled either "re-poop-lican" or "demo-crap" it's all part of their "smear campaign" and even if it isn't the dirtiest politics we see on display this week-- i'll bet it will easily be number two. for talat, i'm jeremy
