john christine about 50 people gathered here outside of the trump hotel in las vegas they had posters and chants ready. all told me tonight to protest was a response to the shock they received after hearing the news that trump won the presidency protestors the protester it off small with a few people posting pictures online but as words went around on social media more and more people showed up they eventually left the front of trump tower talk to the strip where they walked all

turning back and walking all the way back. most of the people i spoke with tonight say they know that these protest they're not gonna change the outcome of the presidency but they want the world to know that just because their vote didn't give them the result they wanted , their voices will not be silenced sylvia robinson "he represents and symbolizes nothing but hatred and racism and sexism and i don't see any good out of it and some people do so you are allowed to your own opinion and i respect that but if you don't respect mine i'm not gonna sit and listen to yours" this was a peaceful protest and even though they walked down the crowded strip there were no physical altercations no arrests there was some honking and some yelling from people walking by some agreed with the protesters others basically telling them to suck it up but nothing escalated and police were keeping a close eye on the protesters at all times before they left about 50 protesters that were here said

story to protect his victims. b: did you touch my daughter? and at that point my whole world exploded because it was like "wow, i did that." blake... we'll call him in this story...remember's the night he was arrested like it was yesterday. at age 17, i was facing 440 years to 440 life sentences in prison. a girl he was babysitting came forward... after blake touched her. this is something i've never told anybody. when i get arrested for that, that same night i went and i was completely honest to random strangers, but i lied and tried to hide, i guess it was shame or you know just, it's horrible, i did something so horrible for such a long time and then i couldn't even tell the people that i loved. that complete honesty was him telling detectives about every single time he touched the girl... and another... his little step sister. i was introduced to his daughter, beverly, who was 4 at the time and i was 11 and it happened immediately. john pacult is a licensed clinical social worker.. and was appointed to do a psycho sexual evaluation on blake immediately after his arrest.

we take all cases, but we wanna make sure they're getting meaningful treatment with the adequate level of supervision to their risk. three teams of probation officers keep track of these kids from 7am to 10pm daily. this includes random in person checks at school and home.. and phone calls to make sure they're following the rules. ba: they supervise them at school, at home, employment, visit treatment centers. probation officers also notify the superintendent when a student has been arrested for a sexual offense... and ccsd's education service division lets the specific school's administration know. if the student's ct that same school, the student offender is moved to another school. jp: this isn't going to be very popular to say but most don't reoffend.. and that's juvenile or adults. in fact... studies show the re- offending rate for juvenile sex offenders is just 3.5 percent... that's less than any other crime.. jp: we're dealing with kids as young as 8,9,10,11,12. just think about, developmentally, where that child is. but still the consequences can stick for a

"obviously the majority of nevada are very excited about the opportunity" that opportunity -- to smoke, tax and sell marijuana. but there are still questions about how question two will be put into place. "at this point its still business as usual, we're waiting to hear from the state and then we'll proceed as soon as we get direction from them." the first direction for nevadans is that starting in january people over 21 can legally have marijuana... but you won't be able to buy or sell recreational pot until after the state sets up its regulations. "they'll be able to use it starting january first, but where are they going to buy it...and those are the rules and regulations

between january 1 2017 and january 1 2018, how they buy it, how its produced, how its distributed" some of those regulations are already hammered out... you can't smoke in public, you can't drive under the influence and if your apartment or work has rules against smoking or drugs -- those still apply. but lawyers say there's still a lot more that has to bet set on the selling side. "every specific is going to be addresses, all the t's crossed, the i's dotted, they have to run it through the whole process from seed to sale essentially" those rules have to be set before january 1st 2018....and after they're set, apply for licesnses to sell recreational pot...another process that he says will take some time.
