it's friday night--and on the west coast anti- trump protests are once again going strong! this is a look at protestors in portland ... taking over streets and neighborhoods for the third night in a row... and now in miami... also for the third night in a row... hundreds of protestors upset over the election of donald trump as president of the united states.. chanting to the world that they are not happy with the outcome of tuesday's election. good evening .. i'm john huck. i'm christine maddela. some people thought the protests would die down today ... but it's now evident these people are not going to go quietly into the night.. here's a better look at what took place right on the streets of . ... ... and while there are no protests happening on the streets of las vegas again tonight ... there is at least one being planned through a facebook group for tomorrow night near .. or on the strip. the group-- not my president: las vegas trump

says they want to channel their anger over the election results in a positive manner. we'll continue monitoring these protests and keep you updated you thorughout this newscast. in other news tonight... a motorcyclist is dead after a crash in the northwest valley. fox5's cyndi lundeberg is live at the scene near fort apache and cheyenne will details on what happened. john christine.. investigators say a motorcycle was going so fast when it hit the back of a mini man it slid more than a thousand feet. the 30 year old driver of that motorcycle died here at the scene were told he was wearing a helmet. officers here at

" " the driver of that mini can stayed on scene and is cooperating with police this is metros 24th motorcycle death this year. reportibg live cl three days aftera woman was shot and killed in her own home... police have yet to make an arrest... police are still looking into the possibility that this was a murder... but they're also looking into the possibility that this could have been self- defense... or that the woman is the one who may have fired the gun. the police also told us -- they have never been called out to that address before for domestic violence. a 47-year-old woman lived in the home with her

neighbors say they were a nice couple. but the day after shooting-- they say the boyfriend moved out of the house and never came back. "me and our nextdoor neighbor right here, the filipino dude, had a few drinks -- just talked and laughed... just a nice neighbor. ...totally shocked i mean you really can't expect -- you really don't know what somebody can do until they do it. " police say two other people were inside the home... at the time of the shooting. as veterans day wraps up many across the country are taking the te woman who have served our freedom. right here in las vegas, veterans village held a celebration for our vets fox5's miguel martinez valle was there and brings us the story... there was food, there was music, and even speeches thanking our vets... but with this divisive week, where people in this nation are fearing for their rights, others are fearing for their

" what better way to celeb veterans than to serve those who have served our country" today those protecting our republic, were celebrated, remembered, and honored... ""in my head and my chest and my heart i feel like i'm in my 20s, at most 30s not 83" " mark klechner was injured while training troops geting ready to go toor vietnam when he was injured... that knee injury has caused him pain for years... making it difficult to stand for long periods of time... or even get around. but now he has a motorized wheelchair- thanks to the newly formed las vegas chapter of the korean war veterans. the veterans will spend the week in las vegas... theyll dinners... and shows. mgm resorts international says they put on this event because they have three thousands vets who work for them. there's going to be a whole bunch of elvis's running down the strip this weekend for the annual "rock n' roll marathon". it's been deemed the "world's largest nighttime running event" this year-- more than forty- thousand people from all over the world will be lacing up their running shoes. this year is extra special because it's the marathon's 50-th anniversary. organizers say it takes a full year and tons of people to put on

in town square! santa singing "everyone dancing merrily in the new old fashioned way!" and he brought tons of holiday cheer with him. town square's annual holiday parade featured performance from the musical-- "baz"... "clint holmes" and the nevada ballet theater. the mall has many more events on the calendar this season-- including real snow shows... "claus and paws" pet phot and community concerts. police say that shows how fast the motorcycle rider was going... investigators say a woman driving a mini van was making a uturn and that motorcycle slammed into the back of her. that woman is not impaired and is working with police. investigators say this should be a warning for all motorcycle riders to be ..cautious. "motocyrcles are dangerous obey laws " investigators say the motorcycle rider was 30 years old. police tell me they plan to be out here a few more hours as they clean up the scene and continue their investigation.
