meyer recently moved to pahrump and called animal control to ask about getting her tigers permitted. they told her what the process was... and also told her it would be illigal for her to have her tigers there without a permit. she said she didn't have the tigers... but then a few days later a neighbor spotted them in the backyard and called the sheriff's department. when police got to the home they found the three tiger cubs in the backyard... feeding on raw chicken while a 17-year-old boy supervised. it's somethi that has neighbors rattled. "i got an 11-year-old boy in there, and my dog, those cats could jump that fence in a heartbeat and they could jump my 5 ft fence in a heartbeat if they're hungry enough." the tigers are now in the custody of animal control services... and meyer is in custody in nye county. eventually she'll be extradited to texas to face charges there. tonight at 6... hear

neighbors about what they witnessed in that backyard. a southwest airlines employee is shot and killed at will rogers airport in oklahoma city. police say the victim michael winchester was working when he was shot. the airport was closed for several hours. people inside were told to shelter in place while police looked for the shooter. police say the suspect was found dead in a pickup truck in the airport shooting garage... from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. police believe this was a pre- meditated act. the airport has resume operations victim's son is a player for the kansas city chiefs. five students were hurt after being stabbed a high school in utah. police say a 16- year-old attacked five of his classmates around eight this morning... at mountain view high school in orem. it happened inside the boy's locker room. the suspect stabbed the victims in the neck and chest... before stabbing himself. officers took the teen into custody using a taser. police say one student was in critical condition... one in serious... and the others are stable.

receiving medical care. frantic parents were waiting outside listening to announcements over the speakers. mos says: "when we heard what happened, we immediately thought of all the what if's" mos says: "it was just good to see him and see he was ok." mos says: "we tried to call our son right after that because he's in the school." mos says: "our little guy has had some friend, having some friend struggles right now, so we think it has something to do with him, so we're scared." police say the suspect's motive is not known at this time. however -- investigators found he had been suspended earlier in the school year... but it's not clear why. the u-s government delays construction of the controversial dakota access pipeline... to talk with the standing rock sioux tribe. this comes as hundreds of protesters gather outside a work staging area. "water is life, ( )" the nearly 12- hundred mile oil pipeline would stretch from north dakota to illinois.

nearly four billion dollar project is seeking permission from the army corps to tunnel under the missouri river... in order to complete the project. the standing rock sioux tribe uses the lake and river for its drinking water... and has objected because of environmental concerns. protesters say they want a peaceful demonstration. "this ain't safe, having their weapons out, no. yeah, they may follow us and block off the road, but you know once these dapl workers start something, they're not protect us, they're gonna protect the dapl workers." "it's sad to see us clashing over this issue cause this issue, though there is a lot of money at stake, is actually about the future and the health of our country and all of our people not just native americans." those who support the pipeline says it's the safest and most efficient way to transport oil... rather than using rail or trucks. they also say the

continue to advise trump from outside the white house. that's according to a carson spokesman -- armstrong williams. there were rumors that the retired neurosurgeon was in line for a cabinet position... but williams says he never wanted the role. senate minority leader harry reid is not happy about president-elect donald trump. he says most republicans oppose him. "even as we as leaders accept the result of this election, let us also give voice to those who are afraid, because there are many who are afraid. indeed, a majority of americans oppose donald trump. many of my republican colleagues in this chamber oppose trump. they weren't alone. trump will be the first president taking office having lost the popular vote by two million." the senate minority leader also joined other senate democrats in condemning trump's appointment of steve bannon as his chief strategist. reid is leaving the senate in january.

"tinder" swipes right to a new gender option on the app. it's now allowing users to select "transgender". the change rolled out here in the u-s... u-k... and canada. recently -- the dating app was criticized for not accepting transgender users. it only had man or woman as options when selecting gender. the company's c- e-o says the tone of the election forced the change... and they worked with l-g-b-t advocacy groups

"triple-a" says driving will be the most popular transportation... especially with the second- cheapest gas prices in nearly a decade. experts say the earlier you leave for your trip, the better. a united airlines pilot has had enough of political debates... that he decided to ban all the discussions on his flight. "i understand everybody has their opinions, that's fine. i understand." "have the common decency to respect each others decisions. and to get along on this 3 hour and 13 minute flight."
