i'm john huck. i'm christine maddela. it's a crime many people living int eh area seemed to know about ... but very few wanted to talk about. fox5's faith tanner joins us live-- near east charelston and nellis-- with the story. we're told the man lived at one of these apartments-- police say he'd lure some of the neighbor children with candy-- and then sexually assault them. neighbors say they are shocked it. "there's a lot of children that live here and sometimes they play outside here at night" "i'm glad they caught him because that's very sick" saturday--- police arrested this man--- 63 year old jose azucena-- who also goes by "david". police charged him with sexual misconduct...

investigators tell fox5 azucena lured kids with candy. sexual assault adovcates say it's a common tactic... one that parents need to warn their kids about. "just keeping that open honest dialogue, constantly reinforcing to kids that no matter what you tell me you won't get in trouble i'm not going to be upset with you but if anybody ever hurts you or touches you in one of the private places we've talked about you need to let me know because that's not ok" experts also say it's importanto how your kids react to others-- and look for any unsual behavior... investigators ask anyone who thinks their child may have been a victim... to come forward. and call metro's sexual abuse juvenile cetion. a valley teen dissapeared a year ago today... and the family hasnt heard from her since. her name is isabella gonzalez...

home in east las vegas... fox5's cyndi lundeberg spoke to the mother today... who is still holding out hope her daughter is okay. it's a story youll only see on fox5. john christine... a year ago i sat with asuzana gaspar when her daughter went missing. she cant believe it's been a year. i also reached out to police... but they tell me this case is going cold. if shes lookijng at this i hope she sees were worried about her this was azusena gaspars desperate plea... after her 15 year old daughter isabella gonzalez went missing. wednesday marks one year since gaspar has seen her daugther... we think about her everyday i try not to let it overwhelm me gaspar says she vividly remembers te day isabella vanished. she says she got a call from isabella's school. her daughter ditched, so gaspar picked her up and took her home. she went and took a shower when i woke up she was gone gaspar says she

where she may be you're asked to call police... live in the n a week after nevadans voted in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana- the clark countys da's office is already making changes. theyre holding off on prosecuting marijuana cases involving anyone 21 years or older charged with posessing less than an ounce. matthew gardiner, vp shango las vegas "we are pleased to see that the das office is doing the right thing and helping to facilitate this change it's time to bring it out of the black market and we're glad to see that they understand that it's time to allow people to make the decisions for themselves" under the current law possession of any amount of marijuana is considered illegal. this year, metro arrested 177 people for posessing less than an ounce. metro told fox 5 they'll continue enforcement efforts but that possession of

priority. earlier this week .. we told you about people worried about deportation calling local immigration lawyers. tonight .. some of those lawyers banded together to answer some questions for the undocumented community. fox5's miguel martinez-valle was there, miguel did they have any answers for people's concerns? the question and answer session was meant to calm fears of mass deportation, many of these people, those sometimes called dreamers, are living and working here legally, they're nervous if trump undoes president obama's executive actions, they will have to go back in the shadows.

action for childhood arrivals program was one of president obama's executive actions... donald trump has said before he intends on undoing these actions. let's check in with fox five's chief meteorlogist ted pretty. a wind advisory remains in effect for the entire fox5 viewing area through 1 a.m. gusts will be in the 40 to 50 mph range, with some of the strongest wind occurring after sunset tonight. a cold front moves across the area this evening, bringing in much colder air for thursday. high temperatures will only be in the low 60s and upper 50s despite the sunshine across southern nevada. the coldest

schools are brinley, jerome mack, von toble, orr, and baily. the elementary school are cambeero, craig, fitzgerald, and kelly. all of these schools scored in the bottom 5- percent on the nevada smarter balanced test. a lot of parents are worried about the possible change... but some seem to think this move could be for the better of approved. " "is certainly hate to see teachers displaced from their jobs, i mean i think that's one of the biggest issues that people are having with that. it would be unfortunate but ultimately sometimes things need to change for change to happen. the education association has put forth a counter plan where parents can learn all about the charter school program .. and then vote themselves on whether they want to change. the education association told fox 5 the board is seriously considering this proposal and think an answer could come by teh end of the year. henderson police say they're the first in nevada to use a u-s data portal program.

the night of the mass inside the pulse nightclub in orlando. on june 12th, omar mateen shot more than 100 people -- killing 49 of them. in one of the audio clips released by the city of orlando, someone calls 9- 1-1 from inside a women's bathroom. the call lasts nearly 10 minutes, as the dispatcher tries to get information about the gunman. mateen is apparently inside that bathroom during part of the call.

worried if donald trump didn't win the election, their gun owning and shooting rights would be gone. banner says: "i thought hillary was going to win the election and she had said she was going to try to get rid of military weapons so i decided to go ahead and just pull the trigger on it." democrat david banner had been looking for years to buy his second rifle. and like many of 'doug's shoot n sports customers' - he went ahead and jumped the gun. and even though trump won, he's still going to hang on to it. banner says: "i probably woulda waited another year or so." sales manager dave larsen felt that pre-election anxiety from his customers. larsen says: "i did have one gentleman order a gun from me on tuesday and then after the election results came in he called me and said, 'i don't want it anymore, dave. let's cancel that order.' i asked him point blank - is this because donald won? he said yeah kind of." with the trump election- sales have slowed over the last week. larsen says: "if hillary had won, i probably wouldn't be talking to you because we would have a store full of customers right now!" but he is not upset over it-- and neither is his
