"hyperloop one" the start up company hoping to create high speed transportation in large tubes.... has settled a lawsuit between it's former c-e-o and three employees. the multi-billion dollar system was demonstrated at the apex industrial park in north las vegas back in may. it promises to cut a commute from san fransisco to los angeles down to just 30-minutes. the employees accused they bosses of financial missmanagement. the employees were seeking a public apology...lost pay and stock options. hyperloop one released a statement saying they look forward to continuing their business plan. a settlement has also been reached in the trump university case. new york attorney general eric schneiderman says his lawsuit and two others will be settled for 25 million dollars. he called it a "stunning reversal" of president-elect donald trump's position. a statement

office says -- "donald trump fought us every step of the way, filing baseless charges and fruitless appeals and refusing to settle for even modest amounts of compensation for the victims of his phony university. today, that all changes." unlv sudents and staff are calling on president len jessup to re- affirm the school's status as a sanctuary campus. the call comes amid fears of immigrants who face deportation under a trump presidency. the letter calls for the university to protect it's undocumented community members from law enforcement. unlv is already a considered a sanctuary. the letter asks the university president to reaffirm it's status as a sanctuary. it also lists possible actions the university could take like developing an online degree program-- in the case an undocumented student is arrested or deported. there's an education fair going on this weekend. clark county parents will be able to learn about the

cafe outside the hard rock hotel is shutting its doors for good. this restaurant opened back in 1990. hard rock officials say the decision was made to focus efforts on the hard rock cafe next to m-g-m grand. employees will have the option to relocate to the newer hard rock cafe and "hard rock live." hard rock cafe is closing on december 31st. no word on what will take its place... or where the iconic giant guitar will go. the lucky dragon hotel and casino is almost ready to open its doors! the casino will welcome its first guests tomorrow night. a bigger opening is scheduled for december. this is the first new resort to open on or near the strip since the cosmopolitan opened back in 2010. it is aimed towards aisian travelers and wil feature authentic chinese food at its restaurants. downtown summerlin is getting into the holiday spirit! they're kicking off their second annual holiday parade... tonight the tree lighting ceremony

the middle and high schoolers are split into groups and then sent out all over the valley to volunteer. they do things like making crafs for seniors... stocking food at local pantries... and playing games with retired veterans. this year-- more than 800 students are taking part. "i really enjoy it because it like gives back to the community because we're all the same and like we're all just one big family and it just feels good, you know?"
