following a plane crash in colombia. 6 other passengers have since be rushed to the hospital. some players from a brazillian football team were on board.. at least two have survived. ' three days of now been declared in country. its not yet clear why the plane crashed. this of course is a developing story.. and we will bring you more information as it becomes available. new developments this morning in the ohio state university attack. 11 people were injured. now police are concerned.. that the attack may be linked to terrorism. investigators say the 18-year-old attacker drove into a crowd on campus. then started stabbing students. before police shot and killed

are now condemning the attack. but as a somali refugee. some analysts believe the suspect was connected to al- shabaab. i blew it off, i thought 'oh it's fine we had an alarm like this a week ago.' and so i kind of blew it off and then when it kind of escalated i got really scared for all my friends the community of columbus came together last night.. holding a vigil in honor of the victims. one student is still in critical condition. expected to survive. police are now searching the attacker's car and apartment.. to try and understand why this happened. following the attack. colleges across the country started tightening their security. unlv says even though they've never had an active shooter on campus.. they are prepared. "if you are able to lock yourself in place, you can if it's near by. if you can escape from the building we ask you to do that and as a

you to basically fight for your life" unlv police go through at least a dozen seminars and two active shooter simulations every year. but they need students help. they say if you see something, say something. after a valley man's home was broken into.. he installed a security system.. about two weeks later.. his cameras caught another robbery right in front of his house. " pointed it at him, the guy / kid gave him his money, hit him with the gun, ran away" brett palmer wasn't the victim of this crime.. and he doesn't know the suspects.. but he believes the same people who were caught on camera in front of his home.. may be the ones who broke in. they match the description of the suspects from the home burglary yea" butt to its very important that we identify that victim too... we want to know who they are, exactly what they were doing there in that

had in their hands, and what they did directly afterwards, the suspects that is" according to palmer.. there have been muliple break ins in his neighborhood.. but police say they don't consider it a crime wave. if you are worried about crime in your area.. police recommend installing security cameras.. to help them solve their cases. a woman has been sitting in a nevada jail for 15 years. charged with a crime she says she didn't commit.. now the nevada supreme court is taking up her case. saying there is evidence that was initially kirstin blaise lobato is charged with the murder of duran bailey. despite there being no physical evidence tying her to the crime. lobato was convicted twice of the crime... lobato appealed her conviction... but the judge denied her appeal. however the nevada supreme court ruled unanimously that there is evidence in this case that must be looked at. stephen jackson- the nevada supreme court said youve been too hasty you didnt do an indepth look into whether or nto her claims were valid you need to do an indepth

las vegas mayor carolyn goodman will sign a giving tuesday proclamation stating giving tuesday is a celebration and recognition of non profits organizations, where the community comes together, gives back and supports a cause they care about. mayor goodman has a youtube video encouraging everyone to participate anyway they can and talks about catholic charities, the center supporting l-g-b- t-q community, shade tree and three square food bank. there are thousands of great organizations across souther use your support. find a cause that is close to your heart. givingtuesday.org has 98 local charities that have registered with them but globally just last year, 700,000 people took part raising $116,000,000 dollars from 70 countries. there are thousands of great organizations across southern nevada that could use you financial support but giving tuesday doesn't just mean money. manpower is also valuable. many

8th and 12th -- he committed six armed robberies. they also say he should be considered armed and dangerous... anyone with information on griffin-- is asked to call crimestoppers at 702-385-55-55. you can remain anonymous. hundred of uber drivers are expected to get off the roads today.. to protests for higher minimum wage. the group "fight for 15" says uber drivers will march along with fast food workers.. and airport employees. some drivers about 19-dollars and hour.. but the drivers say there are fare cute.. and no accounting for expenses like gas and maintenance. valley fast food workers are joining in on the national strike today. they are calling it a "day of disruption." the fight for 15 group says it will be their most "disruptive protest yet" to show they won't back down in the face of newly elected politicians. two demonstrations are being planned for 6 a-m and 5 p-m at the mcdonalds across from the

officials in wisconsin have approved plans to start a recount. but officials say they won't count them by hand. officials say the process will take weeks. but they will get it done as fast as possible. former presidential candidate jill stein has threatened to sue.. if the votes are not counted by hand. stein has already requested another recount in pennsylvania. according to sources close to the president- elect.. donald trump has named another member of his cabinet.. this time turning to congress.. health and human services secretary. congressman tom price is an orthopedic surgeon from georgia.. and currently chairs the house budget committee. he is also a leading critic of obamacare.. calling it a threat to quality health care. the emergency warning on florida was lifted.. a zika case was confirmed in texas. health officials say the mosquito was found near the mexico border. zika is transmitted primarily through the bite of infected mosquitos. but can also be passed from mother to child during pregnancy, blood transfusions and sexual contact. completing a marathon is already one of the toughest things a human can do... this man did it... while battling a terminal disease. a worn-out sign welcoming people to the city of north las vegas will be replaced today. here's a look at the existing sign at pecos and owens. north las vegas mayor john lee will join students from tom williams elementary school to unveile the new sign at 1- 30 p-m today. moving forward, the students at tom williams will help the city maintain the corner by pulling weeds and clearing away litter. its the end of an era at unlv.. the student run paper is getting a new name.. the rebel yell..

park is recieving serious backla after freezing over 5-thousand fish into its ice rink. the park has since closed the attraction.. which had fish.. sting rays.. and crab frozen into the ice. the fish were already dead... they just added them in... the fish will now be turned into fertalizer. we all know a person that is obsessed with cheese.. and we've got the perfect gift for them!
