we're following breaking news overnight. an agrument leaves one man dead and police are still looking for the shooter. police say a man and woman were arguing over a custody dispute when a random person showed up and killed the man. fox5 peter dawson is live on the scene with the details. a domestic argument turns deadly and the shooter has no relations to the victim. this situation started last night around 9:30 when police responded to a couple arguing inside a apartment here at durango canyon near peace way.

of the couples small child. after police left, the argument picked back up this time taking place in the parking lot. that when a third man approached the couple, exchanged a few words with father of the child and pulled out what police call a small assault riffle and shot the man once in the chest. the suspect drove off and the victim was taken to umc where he died from that gun shot wound an hour later. police need your help in finding the suspect. he's described a a black male in his thirties with a goatee driving a black sports car. police say his was a random shooting, the suspect and victims have no relationship l, he just decided to intervene and then he fled. if you have any information please call crime stoppers at 702-

a valley father admits to shooting and killing his son overnight... metro police were on a routine call at an apartment complex at rainbow near windmill just after 8 last night.. when they heard three gunshots. they say a man walked out of his apartment and told officers he shot officers found him-- a man in his early 20's -- with a gunshot wound in his chest. the 50-year-old father was arrested on murder charges.. police say he is cooperating with the investigation. in national headlines this morning.. isis is claiming responsibility for inspiring the car- and-knife attack on the campus of the ohio state university. there is no evidence to back the claim.. but the f-b-i says they are looking at terrorism as a possible motive. they're combing through the

earnest: "there is plenty of available evidence to indicate that this individual may have been motivated by extremism and may have been motivated by a desire to carry out an act of terrorism." 11 people were hurt after the attacker plowed his car into a crowd, and then slashed victims with a knife. 11 people were hurt in world news now.. soccer fans in brazil are mourning the loss of players killed in a plane crash. 71 people died when the team's chartered plane crashed in colombia monday night. fans of chapecoense ... one of brazil's leading soccer clubs... created a makeshift memorial at their arena to mourn the loss of the players... who were on their way to colombia for a regional final. amazingly, six people survived the plane crash. one of the players who survived though-- had to have an injured leg amputated. a paramedic killed in the plane crash in northern nevada has been laid to rest. the twin-engine medical air ambulance crashed earlier this month in elko shortly after take-off. 24-year-old jake shepard is remembered as a

the man who broke out of handcuffs to escape police custody is now being linked to more crimes. police say alonso perez is behind bars for shooting a man outside a mcdonalds three months ago.. but they are connecting him to five other shootings. he is accused of murdering two people and battery with a deadly weapon. now the district attorney is considering the death penalty. perez is expected back in court next week. people all over the country are asking for a higher minimum wage.. and las vegas workers joined the so-called 'fight for 15' protests. "too many of us out here struggling right now on what we're making. we're not making enough. too many of us are saying no to our families for the things that we need, basic needs." fast-food cooks, baggage handlers, uber drivers and hospital workers are among those demonstrating.. saying they have no plans of backing down. the fight for fifteen has led to wage hikes for 22 million underpaid

nevada's largest blood drive is sparking competition between our local first responders. the "heroes challenge blood drive" is happening today at u-m-c. local police, firefighters and hospital staff will be competing to see who collects the most pints of blood at the drive. all donors will get free tickets to local shows. the blood drive started at the top of the hour.. and will go until 7 tonight. first responders aren't the only heroes.. a new federal initiaive is helping train ordinary people to save lives. in the wake of the ohio state university car- and-knife attack.. people at stony brook university -- from custodians to administrators -- are now learning how to treat gunshot wounds, gashes and other injuries. the idea is to offer some kind of assistance during fateful minutes or hours when the wounded are hunkered down waiting for the scene to play out and for actual e- m-t's to get there. 11 people were hurt in monday's attack at o-s-u. the government wants you to complain more.. they must not be watching our morning rant! the national
