reaction crash involving three vehicles has died. it happened last night on ann near simmons. north las vegas police say the motorcyclist hit a car and was thrown from his bike. four other people were involved.. and two of them were taken to the hospital. police are still investigating if speed or alcohol played a role in crash. three people are recovering after their north las vegas home caught fire.. it happened near civic center and evans around 7-30 last night. a witness says he

heard screaming.. before fire crews rescued a little girl who he says looked to be about 6 years old. a woman was found dead inside a home that neighbors say no one was supposed to be in. it happened near rainbow and gowan.. and police say it took a while to clear the scene because the home had poisonous gas inside. a man was also taken to the hospital with injuries. neighbors tell us the place does not have power.. but there may be generators inside. police are investigating this as a suspcious death.. investigated 157 homicides already this year.. matching a 20-year high in homicide cases.. and getting close to a record set back in 1996. metro says even with the higher numbers.. the department is still closing about 75-percent of cases. we're learning more about the new program metro is launching to help catch criminals faster.. but they need your help! police are asking you to register your security cameras with their new surveillance

it allows officers to look at your footage if there's a crime that happens in your neighborhood.. which will help them stop criminals sooner. students in california are getting a break from the pressures of finals with the help of coloring books and pets. students at the american river college are de- stressing by doodling in adult coloring books ... and petting dogs. some people are really for it and others think the idea is nonsense.. aaron austin, student: "when you're coloring it sends you back to a more simpler mindset, so it is really stress relieving to sit and draw and color," benjamin uchytil, student: "i do have a concern with bringing these things on campus because i think we have a tendency to baby college students," for those concerned with the cost of these alternative stress relievers... the coloring books and crayons have all been donated... and the puppies are provided by the s-p-c-a. alyssa.... wouldnt

behind bars for stealing from a number of victoria secret stores across the valley. police say taja banks, kendra cole-matthews and deondra mcgregory went into the lingerie store in the district at green valley ranch in henderson grabbed merchandise off the display tables and ran away. we're told this was just one of the locations they hit.. police say about 10-tho merchandise was taken in all. in national headlines this morning.. today marks the one year anniversay of the terrorist attack in san bernardino, california. investigators are still looking into the shooting that left 14 people dead and 22 more injured during a holiday party at a center for people with development deisabilities. authorities believe the couple behind the attack -- syed farook and tashfeen malik -- were radicalized by the islamic state.. but they still

about the deadly elko air ambulance crash that killed four people last month. according to federal investigators. the plane lost power right at take off. it was headed to the university of utah medical center.. but only made it a few hundred feet before crashing into a parking lot. the pilot...two paramedics and a patient were killed. search and rescue efforts are still underway... after a raging fire destroyed parts of eastern tennessee. the death toll has risen to at least 10.. now the efforts finding survivors. lyle wood alice hagler's son: "and then we got news yesterday that three people were pulled off the mountain alive and thought man maybe she'll be one of those folks, and unfortunately she wasn't." more than 700 buildings have burned down. crews are working around the clock.. even sleeping on the sidewalk.. to try to squeeze in a nap.. before heading back to work. southwest of the fires... another disaster...as an e-f 2 tornado hit the town of athens, tennesee. but a little baby

rethink what they're doing. as a local, i always brought my visitors to the strip and park at the linq. this will no longer happen. i'll take my visitors to other casinos where they'll spend all their money elsewhere. the last group of callers have somethign to say about u-p-s, the nascar victory parade, and minimum wage and you might be surprised who is far south of a liveable wage. keep talking about keeping your packages safe and having them delivered to either a neighbor that's home or make sure that you're home when it's delivered. but ups doesn't even kn drop the package at the door. i was home all day long, i got up to go to the store and almost tripped over a package, i didn't even know they came. okay so we shut down the las vegas strip on spring mountain and las vegas boulevard so these nascars can come out here and do donuts on the roads that us taxpayers pay for. and there's no benefit for us. what sense does that make?
