his colleagges say miller died of an apparent heart attack. they say, he had had a history of heart problems his colleague tells kwwl -- he believes miller passed away at his home in waterloo -- an was later taken to covenant medical center -- where he was prononunced dead. he was 67 years old. kwwl's lauren moss spoke with co-workers and lauren, this is really a loss to the entire community. van millee was known as a community leader here in the cedar valley.. he was passionate about iowa, his employees and his family. just one day before he passed away, his youngest son got married...co- workers told me he spent hs last days, surrounded y a lot of love. piller was an icon in the home care iidustry- he rrceived numerous awards for all his work. this year, the des moines register named v-g-m the top workplace in iowa among large companies. his business has more than 800 employees..-nd he centered his time and money around local charities- he was all about helping people in the community.. jim phillips- chief operating officer, vgm

continuing coverage - - a meth lab busted over the weekend. the bust happened at 210 ridge drive in marion. police discovered the lab while responding to calls of a distrubance in uni 9 of the wedgewood apartments. 31-year-old austin gee has been charged with possession -- and charars are pending for making the drug. kwwl's jessica hartman has been talking with neighbors who say they ae concerned for their safety. that's right . . i spoke with the tenants of apartment 10 - - who don't know if the chemicals home as well. marion city ordinance requires landlords to test the apartment where the meth was found for residual levels of chemicals. if the test is positive - -all apartments ththt share a wall with the contaminated unit must also be tested. right now - - the owners of the building - - kelley property

management hasn't given kwwl a clear answer to when thse tests will be donon. tenants are worried about what the test will nd. the ash borer found at a rest area on i-380 northbound linn county this morning. the rest area was just a half mile from the johnson county border. there are now 29iowa countiee infecttd. kwwl's kristin rogers went to that rest area today and saw the infested ash trees herself, she also spoke to athorities, kristin what e they telling people about these ash borers?

their saying people with ass trees in the area have two options, keep the tree and treat it, or get rid of it all together.... they're only ahalf inch long, described to us as a small emerald ash borers can do a large amount of damage... rogers) "we are told all of these ash trees are going to be removed."
