later taken to covenant medical center -- where he was pronounced dead from an apparent heart attack. he was 67 years old. kwkwl's lauren moss spoke with co- workers, shhjoins us now live, and lauren this is not only a loss for his cmpany, but really for the entire community of the cedar valley. that's right..talk about a class act, van miller was known asasa communnty leader hee in the cedar valley.. since 2000, he has been dealing with heart problems..minor heart attacks and even a bypass surgery..and it looks like he died sunday of a heart attack. & miller gas an icon in the home care indusy- he received numerous awards foo all his work at v-g-m. this year, the des moines register named v-g-m the top workplace in iowa among large companies but he wasn't just passionate about work.... he loved the state of iowa, hs employees an his family. just one day before he passed away, his y yungest son got married...co- workers told me he spent his last days, surrounded by a lot of family and love...a day that van was very exited about.

deputies tried totostop surrett because he was driving without a license. he then crashed into the school bus and a pikup truck -- injuring some people inside the pickup.. surret apolozed in court today and asked to be placed in a residential facility instead of prison due to a menttl illness. however a judge denied that request. police arrest a man accused of beating a woman with a rev_lver and shooting ater during an attempd kidnapping waterloo, is facing kidnapping, assault, and weapons charges. police say he atacked the woman in the 300 block of west 13th street. as he hit her with the gun -- it fired. she then drove off - an smith alleedly shot at her car. police say smit then kindapped the woman's friend at gunpoint -- before being arrested by police. they'll kill your ash trees and they'v'v have been found in 29
